Still waiting

I really hate hanging about for other people and not knowing what is happening. I am still waiting to find out if I have a second interview for this new job or not! It's so frustrating!

Wages - latest

Also today, I heard back from my old job. They sent me a wage checker and it confirmed that I was 5 days short on my pay packet, because, for some unknown reason, they pay my suspended days to me separately! I will get those on Friday, apparently (though I won't hold my breath as they are bound to be late and / or wrong!).
I'm also waiting to get a refund on the money I had on my i.d. pass (for the vending machines at work!). It may only have been about £5 but why should they benefit from it?
I never heard from the firm that I had the assessment day with, though they did say they would let me know by today! Hopefully they were just busy and I should get a call tomorrow.
Bob did let me know that he is going for an assessment day on Thursday there though, so I may end up working with him yet again! Who knows?

Frankie - latest

Frankie was taken back to the vet this afternnon to have the stitches taken out of his leg, poor thing. He came back at about 16:30 and hasn't been back to my room since.

I'm feeling so betrayed!!

All that time, when he had his plastic cone around his neck to stop him biting his stitches out, he was really affectionate and now he can scratch his own neck he doesn't want to know. I tried playing with him earlier and he just didn't want to know and scratched me on the nose and arm to tell me!

That is the last time I treat him to some of my sliced meat when I'm making dinner, I can tell you! Typical man!

Background Birthday Boy

Celebrating his 30th birthday today is a Canadian actor who I noticed in the last season of CSI: Miami. Now Brendan Fehr's character is a bit of a minor character, as a technician at the CSI lab, but they may build it up, you never know. He has also starred in Roswell, which I never caught, and in a Canadian drama called Sugar, also which I've never seen, among other things. In Sugar he played a gay hustler, so, more type casting please. But less of the strange haircuts!

Our destinies entwined

Today I am waiting to hear back if I have been selected for a second interview after my assessment day last week. I don't know if they are emailing or phoning so I'll probably be on the computer all day until I find out.
Also today, again, Frank is due to go back to the vet and have his stitches removed, and so have his neck funnel thing removed too. It will be nice to have that thing off of him after about 2 weeks, at least he should be able to clean himself properly then!!

Birthday Boy

Today, Alan Smith is celebrating his 27th birthday. Alan is an English footballer who has played for his country as well as Manchester United and now Newcastle United. As you can see he is cute and has a good body, and, apparently, he has good ball skills, though I'd like to find that out for myself!! Happy Birthday Alan!

Dreaming

I forgot to mention that I had a nice dream last night. It was quite sedate and simple, I was just laying in bed with Ben Lawson, an Australian actor who plays Frazer Yeats in Neighbours currently. All I can really remember of the dream was me laying next to him with my head on his shoulder playing with his chest hair!

Wages

I actually received my final wage slip through this morning, but it is impossible to tell what they have paid me for, or, more to the point, what they haven't! I emailed the woman who deals with wages yesterday so she said she would send me a pay-checker so I can see what exactly they have paid me for, that should be interesting. I think I am short by about £400, but it's hard to tell as I know they will be taking some money back for my SIA licences.

Also today I have had to wash my quilt cover again (after only putting it on the bed a couple of days ago) as Frank decided to wipe his bottom on it! (Sorry if you are eating). Frank still has the cone on his neck to prevent him from biting his stitches out, so he can't actually clean himself and so doesn't realise when he has ............ shall we say, "hangers on"!!!!!! I guess it isn;t too much of a problem as long as he doesn't do it again. He has done it on the carpet in a couple of places, but that's not in my room and Kevin said he will get the carpet properly cleaned in a week or so. I do linke how affectionate Frank has become now though. I was sat in the lounge yesterday catching up on Home & Away and he climbed up onto the sofa and lay next tome with his head in my lap. He never used to do that at all!

Birthday Brady

Now I know virtually nothing about American Football, except that it is a poor knock-off od rugby for men affraid to get really hurt (sorry guys but its true!), but I do know that there are certain players of the "sport" who are as fit as f**k! Brady Quinn is one of these guys. He may only be celebrating his 23rd birthday today, but he is certainly man enough for me. Have a great birthday Brady.
