Steelers Matches

Yesterday there were 2 home matches for the Kings Cross Steelers, their second and third teams (I didn't even know they had a third team!). I was off work so wanted to attend both, but the first was kicking off at 11 and I didn't manage to get my act together, to leave home, until about then anyway, arriving just before midday. I watched what remained of the 3rd's match, which turned out to be a few ex-players and some new guys playing against a gay team down from Derby, the Panthers, on a smaller makeshift pitch. The Steelers lost. Sexy Ed was there watching so I chatted to him for a bit and also to another guy called Jordan.
I then waited around for the 2nd's match to start. It was originally due to start at 2, they sent out a Facebook message and email saying it had been rescheduled for 1, but then it started at about 2 anyway. I was wrapped up warm but my toes were freezing by this point. I barely managed to survive the match. During the 2nd's match I chatted briefly to a few more people, I like that I'm getting to know more people the more matches I attend. One of the guys was Niall, who is also quite sexy, and also lives close to Clapham. Douglas was also there (I was really spoiled for choice with sexy men), but he seemed really interested in the guy he was there with, David, who was gorgeous.
As soon as the match had finished and the teams were clapped off the pitch (the Steelers won) I walked quickly back to the clubhouse to warm my tootsies up. It took a while for anyone I knew well enough to talk to to get there but I was chatting to lots of guys pretty soon.
It turns out that there was also a party there that night, for a player called Daz's birthday. It had a Family Guy theme and although a few people dressed up, some in great costumes, it didn't matter and everyone was invited.
I won't go into details for the night, mostly because I can't remember much detail, but I know that I got called up to the stage and stood on a chair for a drinking "forfeit," my first one. I feel like I'm beginning to belong. I vaguely recall making a trip to the cash machine and take-away during the night, and snogging some guy I'd never met before (and him not really being my type) before getting the Tube home with a group of about 6 guys and all having a very loud sing-song nearly all the way home (apologies to the other passengers on that train). I got in had some food (thankfully) and went to bed just after midnight.

What a fantastic day and night, I loved it!!!

I had a lay in this morning and suffered only a headache, likely and added 2 friends on Facebook during the day today, thanks to the party last night. I was tempted to request a few more (like Niall and Doug's gorgeous mate), but think I will wait until I've got to know them a bit more first.

Great Night Out

I finished work at 7 yesterday morning and slept until about 3 in the afternoon when I got home. I really wanted to go out, even more so when I found out that I finally got an interview (more about that in another post). I asked Tim if he was about, but he had other plans, so I asked 3 other friends, only one was available, Craig.
When I was getting ready I noticed, or maybe imagined, that I have put on a bit of weight around my middle (the muffin-top area) and so didn't feel great about how I looked. I almost changed out of the tight t-shirt that I had on. Almost.
I met Craig in Rupert Street and then went on to Profile and then to the Village, I've not been in there for years. While we were in there a straight woman started talking to us and told me that I was so good looking that people would be too intimidated to talk to me, which I thought was hilarious. Craig was a bit put out, as he has confidence issues and is always telling me how people are attracted to him etc etc. He asked her if she thought the same about him and was even more put out when she said that he WAS approachable. We went on to Comptons before ending up in the Duke of Wellington, where I had a bit of a snog with a young guy.

What I really loved about my night was that, in almost every bar I saw someone else that I knew well enough to talk to, which is really unusual for me.
Craig went home after the Duke and I went on to Profile and, although I was there alone, had a good time wandering around talking to a few people, including a gorgeous straight guy who was there with his girlfriend and kept looking at me and smiling, and enjoying the music (also enjoying watching Ben Brown dancing in just his jockstrap!).
I then walked to Vauxhall (I was obviously drunk) and went to Chariots where I had some fun with several guys before heading home and getting in at 09:45!!!!!!!!!! I slept until about 4 and have just wasted the rest of today vegging out on the sofa with my headache and stubble rash.

My New Year's Eve

I finally decided to spend my New Year's Eve with Humberto, as he was the only one of my friends who was actually going out somewhere. He said he was going to be in Kazbar, but I later found out that he wasn't going to be there until 21:30, so I stayed home until then, becoming more and more tired as time went on. By the time I actually left home I was really tired. Kazbar was its usual unexciting self, though I did see Marcus, a friend who now lives in Barcelona, in there briefly before he headed off to The Eagle (I couldn't persuade Humberto to change location to there).
Soon after I got there, Humberto told me that after we had gone to the river to watch the fireworks he was going straight home to cruise on Grindr for drunk and drugged up hunks who would normally turn him down for sex! Great. I almost went home there and then, but didn't.
At just after 23:30 we went to Vauxhall, found out that Barcode there was charging £15 entry, which none of his friends were willing to pay, so we didn't go in. We then crossed the road and went onto the "beach" to watch the fireworks which were great.

We all then came back to Kazbar and stayed for an hour, then I came home. All without a decent midnight kiss. Oh well, next year I am going to a decent venue, with some decent music, and hopefully with a larger group of MY friends.
