As you may recall I am compiling a database of LGBT people in the media (for whatever reason). I post lists of those on my database who were born or died each day. I do however have some individuals on the database whose details are incomplete and so therefore I am unable to mention them on the correct day. I would be very grateful if any of you, my gorgeous readers, could fill in the gaps for me.
I need to know the date in August that Manoly Lascaris was born. He was the Greek-Egyptian (and later Australian) lover of Patrick White, the Australian novelist. I know he died on 13th November 2003, but do not have the date in August 1912 that he was born.
I also need the date in August 1978 that New Zealand drag queen Pollyfilla (aka Colin McLean) was born.
On top of these birth dates I need the date that the two following individuals died:
Mary MacLane, the Canadian author, who was born on 1st May 1881 and died in 1929;
And Marc Stevens, the US porn star (also known as Mick Allman, Al Packer, and, most memorably, Marc "10 1/2" Stevens). He was born 9th February 1943 and died in 1989, but when in August?
Any help you can provide would be brilliant, but I would like to request that you site your source for the information for verification and further research purposes.
Also, if I fail to mention a particular person on the day that they either were born or died, please let me know (again siting your source for the information) so that I can add that person to my database and correct their omission.
Thank you in advance for your help.

According to the Independent obituary, Manoly Lascaris was born on the 5th August 1912.
Thanks Anon, for the swift information, much appreciated.
Mary MacLane seems to have died on the night of 6-7th August. This is according to the report in the New York Times for August 8 1929. The very first obituaries appeared on the 7th.
Cheers
Is this the same Anon or a different Anon? I like to know who I'm thanking.
Same 'anon' - I'll adopt my standard nom de blog if I chip in again, it's 'badabing'.
Cheers badabing, wanna be my researcher? lol
This has been so great I'll have to put regular entries in for missing info....
i can confirm the information on mary maclane - it's as exact as it's ever likely to get. you might find my research website interesting: http://www.marymaclane.com/mary/ - we'll be doing a new, complete anthology of her work shortly. :)
