I actually managed tog et some decent sleep today, hooray! I am working nights at the moment and for the last two days there have been (ugly) workmen directly outside my flat digging up the road with pneumatic piledrivers, so I have not been able to get some decent sleep for two days. Today they decided to have a day off from digging and I am so grateful. I have 2 more night shifts to go before a whole 2 days off.
My pay situation is still not sorted. If it isn't resolved by the time I get to work today I will have to begin dealing directly with the wage department myself (instead of going through my manager).
