Strictly Shocking

This weekend's Strictly Come Dancing, which I have just caught up on, was great. Almost all of the dances were amazing and showed a great improvement on their staring skill levels, but there was a shock to be experienced come the end of the results show.
The dances themselves were well worth watching:
Jodie & Ian performed a quickstep which was good, great fun and varied and Jodie's dress was absolutely beautiful.
Lisa & Brendan performed a samba was quite good, but her dress was aweful, looking plasticky and stiff.
During the comments for this dance I felt really sorry for Craig, for a change, as the other judges are always interrupting him and not letting him give his opinion. I wish they would all just shut up and let him speak, however wrong he may or may not be.
Christine & Matthew's waltz was smooth with great use of the floor and to me unfaultable.
Cherie & James's cha cha cha showed off her amazing legs and was good, though she always seemed to be following slightly.
Austin & Erin performed an absolutely amazing tango. Not being an actor, Austin really impressed me with his passion and attitude during the dance. It was performed to proper tango music and he lead the dance the whole way. He deserved his two 9's and two 10's (if not much more).
Rachel & Vincent's rumba was probably the best dance of the night, which is amazing for a rumba, one of my least favourite dances. It was beautiful, passionate and amazingly executed. They just peaked Austin with their 9 and three 10's.
John & Kristina's American Smooth, including two lifts, was a great improvement on his previous dances, but that's not difficult. Possibly their best dance yet, which was funny because they almost left the stage as they didn't want to hear the judges comments after the last few weeks.
Tom & Camilla's salsa was great, performed with amazing energy, passion, enthusiasm, enjoyment and was just sexy and incredibly intricate. He looked like a professional dancer and deserved at least a couple of 10's.
Overall, this weekend was the best show for dance performances, very enjoyable indeed.
At the end of the results show, John was saved yet again, with Lisa & Brendan and Cherie & James being in the dance off. Cherie was unfortunately the one to loose out. I think that she would have gone soon anyway, even if John had gone this week, so it could have been worse. As long as Austin, Tom, Christine and Rachel get to stay as long as possible, I will be happy.
