USA

Today's Rugby World Cup team are the USA, who are playing South Africa today (no chance sorry guys) and who I have not really seen play at all. There are alot less hotties in the team that you would expect for a US team, but then again most people are surprised that there would be enough Americans willing to play such a rough manly sport without padding and helmets anyway (sorry, bit of bitchiness snuck in there!). Hot team members include:
Mark Aylor;
Mike Petri;
Owen Lentz;
Paul Emerick (who looks a bit like Arnie in the Conan films with that haircut);
Todd Clever;
Alec Parker;
Chris Osentowski;
Dan Payne;
Hayden Mexted;
and John Vitale;

Back to work

Well, I am back at work and am feeling better, though still have a sore throat and a cough, and am feeling hot and cold and my neck is still aching. AND I still have 10 hours of my shift left to go!!
Yes! I am looking for sympathy!

I hate feeling ill

I phoned up work at about 16:00 to say that I WOULD be in work tomorrow as I was feeling much better. But as of the last 20 minutes I've been feeling really hot again and my headache has come back. I have taken some paracetamol so hopefully that will sort it out very quickly. I hate feeling ill, especially when I am feeling a bit depressed anyway. But I guess the two go hand in hand, when you are feeling depressed, you get run down, which makes you more susceptible to illness, which makes you more depressed! Vicious circle.

Wales

It is with sadness that I am posting this today, I was hoping to postpone my feature on the men of the Welsh Rugby World Cup team until later, but alas, they lost against Fiji today and so are out. It was a great match, starting slow, but either team could have won it in the end. What a time for Fiji to win their first match against Wales. Here are the team members who I think are the hottest, though none of them seem to be wearing the World Cup strip which showed off their arms and chests really well, almost as good as the England strip from the last World Cup:Michael Owen;Mike Phillips;Thomas Rhys Thomas;James Hook; Jamie Robinson;Jonathan Thomas;Kevin Morgan; Matthew Rees;Dwayne Peel;Gareth Cooper;Captain Gareth Thomas; Huw Bennett;Ian Gough;Alix Popham;Alun-Wyn Jones;Chris Horsman;

Dafydd James;Ceri Sweeney;ANd the very hot Will James.

England back on form (nearly), I wish I was!

Work yesterday was really slow, nothing much happened after the first hour or so and I was REALLY bored. By the end of the shift I was feeling really achy, and just hoped that I hadn't caught a cold from walking about without a coat on Thursday!
Lee phoned me during the morning and asked if I was off work (despite being told that I was off for 7 days, eight days before!. He wanted to meet up in Soho for drinks as he had managed to find some money from somewhere! I said no, not on a work night.
Instead of going out, I stayed in and watched the England v Tonga Rugby World Cup match on ITV. I really though that it would be slow torture, as England haven't been playing well at all, and if we lost this match we were out of the World Cup altogether. I was really pleasantly surprised. They played brilliantly, with a few mistakes when I thought they were really going to mess things up on a couple of occasions.
In the end they won and it was an amazing match, with both teams playing well. I actually felt sorry for the Tongan team, as, based on overall performance through the tournament, they probably deserved it a bit more than England. But in the end, I may not be the most patriotic English person, I do love my English teams!
It is difficult to pick a man of the match for me as so many of them made an actual difference to the match:
Paul Sackey has been amazing, before this World Cup I hadn't seen him play at all, but he has been amazing who has shone as a likely replacement for the speedy Paul Robinson in the speed department.
Lewis Moody was battered throughout the match and I bet he is really sore this morning. He just kept getting back up and coming back for more.
Andy Gomarsall, for me, seems to be the best choice for a new captain of the squad (as opposed to the past captains, temporary captains and the captain who wasn't even on the pitch at the beginning of last nights match!)
Mark Cueto also seemed to be in the thick of things for most of the match and played an important role.
Overall though, I think Sackey gets the vote for MY man-of-the-match!
Well done boys, keep up the good work for the next match (Australia! God help us!).
At the end of the match I decided to go straight to bed and get a good night's sleep before work the next day. I woke at about 03:30 in the morning feeling like crap! I was really warm, but not sweating, I was shivering violently (I think that may be what woke me up), and my throat was dry and sore. I went to the loo, turned the central heating on and put on another t-shirt and pair of socks (to add to the socks, boxers, vest-top, and track suit I was already wearing), I stuffed tissues into the air vents on my main window, to stop the breeze coming in and put a towel over my quilt on the bed as well.
I phoned work to say I wouldn't be in for the next shift, even though I can't really afford to miss any days. Then I went back to bed.
I woke at about 10:30 feeling slightly better, but with an aching back and neck and still with a sore throat and headache. I'll probably be back in tomorrow, but I'll wait until this afternoon to let work know.

Tonga

Today in the Rugby World Cup, Tonga will be playing England in Paris. So, I am focussing on Tonga, and I am hoping that I will still have the opportunity to focus on England while they are still in the competition (I believe that if England do not win tonight then they are out of the competition, which will be very embarrasing as we are the holders of the cup!). Unfortunately, I couldn't find any hotties in the Tonga team, sorry guys, so here are the best of the rest:
Kisi Pulu,
and Finau Maka.

Home & Away new hottie

I just had to mention that there is a new hot guy in my favourite soap, Home & Away. Lincoln Lewis is a young actor playing the character Geoff Campbell, a god-fearing, farm-working schoolkid who wants to play football (Aussie Rules obviously), which is quite fitting since he is the real-life son of Walter Lewis alegendary Australian Rugby League star. He is a mere 20 years young, which is disconcerting for me (as I am old enough to be his dad!), but only just (and not legally!).
So, now, I have even more reason to watch H&A, as well as the other hotties (Mark Furze,Paul O'Brien, Jon Sivewright, Tim Campbell, Rhys Wakefield [yes, I know he is younger than Lincoln!], and Bobby Morley).
And, after doing some checking there are even more hotties on the way in the form of Conrad Coleby (who I know from All Saints) and Scott McGregor, a hot model.
But, Sally is leaving!!! I am in shock! She has been in the soap since it started, one of only 2 originals left (the other being Alf Stewart!) and she is to leave by the end of the year. I think I should start a petition!

Cramps

I had a really horrible night last night. While I was watching Brothers & Sisters I got really bad stomach cramps. I've been feeling bloated, off and on, for weeks now, but this was infinitely worse. I was doubled over in pain, and I was back and forward to the toilet for about 2 hours. I missed most of Brothers & Sisters which I really wanted to watch.
I did see the credits though and a name stuck out, Margot Kidder! I knew that I knew the name, but I couldn't place her. I checked her out on Wikipedia and, obviously, she is the actress who played Lois Lane in the original Superman films with Christopher Reeve.
Also in that episode was a gorgeous young man playing the gay brother of Rob Lowe's character, Eric Winter, who I have heard mention of and seen throughout the bloggersphere and now I know why! As if I need more reasons to watch B&S!!

Meeting People

I decided yesterday that I had to go out for a drink, as I hadn't been out since Friday night. I had lost my black coat on Friday night and only have denim jackets in my room which I won't wear with jeans (I look too much like 80's man!) and my winter coats are packed away down in the cellar at the moment. I took a risk and went out without a coat. It was a bit nippy but I survived. As I got to the bus stop 3 (that's right 3) No 243 buses arrived AT THE SAME TIME! How typical is that. Needless to say that wasn't the bus I needed! Luckily my bus came along after a couple of minutes, though we were overtaken by ANOTHER 243 and delayed around Holborn for 15 mintutes because of congestion caused by a diversion.
I needed the drink when I eventually got into Rupert Street, even then I had to wait for them to change the barrel on cider (a typical occurance as Tim will also tell you!). I has one drink there, 1 in Comptons and then 1 in Barcode before going back to Rupert Street. I eventually went back to Barcode where I got talking to an American couple, Nate and Gary and we really got on well. We stayed 'til closing time and then had a good snog outside before going our separate ways.
I gave them my email address and received an email from them this morning, though I did spend most of the day in bed.

Birthdays

Celebrating their birthdays today we have:
German footballer, currently playing for Chelsea, Michael Ballack who is good looking, but not stunning and reminds me a bit of Dean Cain. I first noticed Michael when he transferred to Chelsea and every picture I saw of him he seemed to have a massive bulge in his shorts! I was probably imagining it, but would love the oportunity to find out if he really does! Michael is 31 today.
James Caviezel is an American actor best known for playing the title role in The Passion of the Christ. He is a very good looking guy, but not someone I would recognise as I think he looks like a generic male model. James is 39 today.
Also I have to mention American actress Melissa Sue Anderson, who I remember as Mary Ingles in The Little House on the Prairie. I don't know if I could watch it now, but when I was a kid this always seemed to be on and so I remember it fondly, my mum also loved to watch it. Melissa is 45 today.
