You remember I mentioned that I had posted 7 letters to companies within the City of London speculatively asking if they had any security vacancies? Well this afternoon I have had 2 replies already and am due to attend 2 interviews because of this. Excellent, eh?
One of the interviews is at the company in the building directly opposite where I am working at the moment, and will be next Thursday. The other isn't far away, and is on the 8th February, though this one doesn't have any vacancies at the moment the guy would like to interview me to see if I am worth keeping on record for when a vacancy does arrise.
I am relly pleased with this response as I wasn't really expecting any replies, considering that the majority of the jobs that I have applied for that are advertising vacancies never get back to me at all!! 2 out of 7 (which is just under 29%) is brilliant, and the letters were only posted yesterday morning so I could get more responses still! Shame I couldn't get an interview today, as I really do not want to go back on Monday to the hell hole I work in at the moment.
I think I shall definately have to go out for drinks tonight, hopefully with Tim, as I am in a really good mood now!
