New Career for a New Year?

I am currently a licensed security officer who is becoming increasingly disillusioned with the industry, many of whose employers are solely interested in profit rather than their customers' needs or their staff's welfare. So, I am looking to switch careers to find a more interesting and challenging occupation.
I have good computer skills, an analytical mind and a very responsible nature. The type of job I am looking for would involve computer work, either locating, analysing and / or compiling information as charts or reports.
I am able to resolve many problems with original ideas, or ideas learned from my previous experiences in the security and retail industries.
I enjoy a challenge and work well with deadlines. I am good with responsibility, I do not however, want the responsibility of supervising other staff.
My ideal job would need to include most or all of the following:
  • Working within London, preferably the City, Docklands or West End. Short secondments to alternate regions would be more than acceptable, though.
  • I currently work a 12 hour day for all of my shifts, but would like to reduce this to an average of 10 hours or less per day. I would like to work less than 7 days in a row and days only, though I am flexible on which hours and days I could work.
  • The wage I accept would depend on the hours, location, and level of responsibility, but the minimum basic wage I could accept would be £23,000 per annum.
  • I need a job which is busy, as a busy atmosphere and an achievably large workload motivate me. Tasks with visible results or targets are also great motivators for me. I work well on my own or in a team.
  • I would like to work for an employer who cares for their staff, who listen to ideas and criticisms, and whose other employees are as respectful of other as they are.

As with most people, I have a variety of contacts gained through social and employment interaction, covering a variety of areas, which could be useful for certain occupations.
These include:
Security; Retail; Travel; Television; Theatre; The LGBT Community; Police; NHS; Military;
Bar & Club Industry;
Any help that you could provide with my search for a new career would be gratefully accepted.

THANK YOU
