I applied for yet another job on Monday, for a corporate security officer working 8 hour shifts, 40 hours a week (with overtime available), pension and gym, medical and shares. Sounded great. If I got it I would be on a higher hourly rate for less hours, working out at just above what I am getting at the moment, with overtime I could boost my income and still have plenty of time off.
I heard back from the recruitment company dealing with the job this afternoon, but unfortunately the job was already at the interview stages so I couldn't be put forward for that job. They did offer me another job but the hourly rate was over a pound less so I would have ended up worse off in the end. Oh well, back to the search and unfortunately back to the sh**ty job I have at the moment!
