Heath Ledger

I have just woken up after my night shift and logged onto my laptop. One of the first things that I came across, after checking my emails, was the story that Heath Ledger has died. I wasn't sure that it was true to start as it was on Wikipedia that I saw this first and you know how some people sabotage this brilliant tool occassionally.
On checking the BBC website I was dismayed to find out that it was unfortunately true. Only the other day I mentioned that I wanted to see The Dark Knight, partially for his performance as the Joker. I first became aware of , and enamoured with, Heath when I saw him in the Patriot and soon after in A Knight's Tale, in both of which he acted brilliantly. I haven't seen much else of him except, of course in Brokeback Mountain which was an amazingly brave move and superbly acted by both main actors.
Yet another brilliant acting export from Australia, he seemed to be another actor, like his Brokeback co-star Jake Gyllenhaal, who wasn't phased by taking diverse and risky roles in the films that he made. He will be missed by Hollywood and by all his fans and films fans worldwide as we will ever know the magnificent films that we will now be missing because of his passing.
All I can say is, "Thanks for the time we had him for and the entertainment he provided during that time."
Thank you Heath.
