It was a really long night last night at work. Annoyingly, and rather pettily if you ask me considering that it could have been sorted during the day shift as they knew about these fault, the heater was not working and the air conditioning was on full blast in the control room meaning that the room was really cold. After a couple of hours of suffering it I came up with a couple of ideas: I put a plastic bin bag, taped over the air vent and brought down the only portable heater from the reception desk to warn the room, which made it much better.
As usual there was nothing else to report.
Early this afternoon I was woken by a call from Bains & Earnst to update my personal details. I wasn't happy to be woken but I confirmed all the details. To my astonishment one of the details was "preferred time of contact" which the guy stated was listed as Mon-Fri between 3 and 6 p.m. It made me angry that these details were there but he was still phoning me on a Saturday at 12:35!! What is the point of having this detail listed if they don't take any notice?
