I work for idiots

I got into work last night about 20 minutes early, as usual, expecting to let the day shift go home there and then. Unfortunately the idiots who run the site have decided that no officer will leave site early even if a guard is on site to relieve them! So now all guards have to stay until 07:00 (or 19:00) whatever happens! Ridiculous. The reason being is that, apparently one guard left early without being relieved! Now surely, if that was the case, then that guard should be disciplined as it would be gross misconduct? But, no! The "managers" are too chicken-s**t and ignorant to know how to deal with H.R. matters like this so they issue blanket instructions to p**s the whole workforce off! How many security companies are like this? In my experience, ALL of them! Everyone suffers for the actions of the minority. Idiot individuals who ruin, or in this case, make even worse, a job for everyone.
And, what was more, the senior guard [the incompetent one] still left 20 minutes early and the site supervisor apparently left at about 17:30!! How's that for setting an example?
AND we had no heating in the control room again! No wonder my cough is still lingering!

This afternoon, upon waking, I logged onto the laptop and sent an email to the recruitment manager asking if there were any other sites available at the moment. I know that at least four of the other guards have asked for transfers too, out of a total guard force of 7!
I am also going to be sending out letters to other mahor corporations that I know are based in the City to see if they have any security vacancies at the moment or to keep me on file for when they do come up.
I just need a bit of good luck (and no I don't think a chain letter on Facebook, or anywhere else for that matter, is going to help me!).

Only 2 more night shifts to go and then I get a whole 4 days off.
