I eventually decided that I would go out yesterday after sleeping for an extra couple of hours to get rid of my migraine. I still had a bit of a headache but thought I'd at least give it a go, hopefully something would take my mind off of it. The rain had stopped too, which was a bonus.
I got the bus into town and had a wander around. As I walked from Soho Square down to Old Compton Street I saw Lee, who was out with Leigh (quelle suprise!) and we said "Hi", he said he would give me a call later to meet back up, but I didn't expect he would and I was proved right.
I gave Tim a call to find out where he was and he told me that he, Richard and a group of friends were outside Halfway to Heaven (somewhere I haven't been for a few years!). I got Richard a birthday card (he was celebrating yesterday but his birthday is today) and then made my way to meet them.
We were joined by Steve, a friend (shag) of mine from when I lived in Grays, who I used to talk to occasionally when I stood on post at our loading bay at my current place of work.He decided to tag aong with our group which would have been brilliant if he hadn't kept trying to touch me up and hold my hand. I wasn't up for it and I think he got the hint eventually.
We all stayed outside the pub for a couple of hours ignoring the small showers and then sheltering under the scaffolding opposite during the heavy rain, and then made our way to Trafalgar Square in anticipation of the expected showing of the final episode of this season's Dr Who on the big screen there. We waited, listening to some "musicians" none of us had ever heard of (except Nemesis Rising, who are gay twins and are very cute AND have good bodies which they showed off for the crowd) and then about an hour later when all the music had finished the announcer told us that "the DVD hadn't worked so they weren't going to show Dr Who!" He then ran off the stage and the stewards started to usher people out of the Square. We were furious, as we had stood there for almost an hour in the rain for nothing!
We then made our way back to Soho and went to Barcode, which was a nightmare as they hadn't opened the downstairs bar meaning that the upstairs bar was packed solid! We got our drinks and then stood outside again, moving on to the Duke of Wellington after a short while. I snogged some cute, but short guy in the pub (I think he said his name was Paolo but I couldn't hear properly). We stayed at the Wellie for a couple of hours and then moved again to 79CXR (uurgh! Not my favourite place) and we stayed there for another couple of hours.
When we eventually left I got a bag of incredibly unhealthy food from the shop next to 79CXR and walked home (it wasn't raining by this time). I got home and to be around about 04:00. Not bad eh, 12 hours on the piss and all I'd had to eat was a salad before I went out!
