Waking the Dead
Am watching "Waking the Dead" at the moment, an episode I have seen before "Straw Dog" and who should be in it, but Tom Ellis. He is playing a cop in flashback scenes and even in a 70's wig he is still sexy. I really need to see more of him!! There are very few pictures of him on the 'net unfortunately.
Birthday Peeps
Today we have the following birthdays:
Firstly, the hottie, Dean Cain, formerly known as Clark Kent / Superman in "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman", who I have fancied ever since that show began. And he has even played a gay character in Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy (and possibly in Best Men, if my memory serves me correctly!).
Secondly, we have Wesley Snipes, who is probably best known for playing Blade in all three of the films, and for being the bad guyin Demolition Man. He is also well known for draggin up in, one of my favourite films (though a poor American take on "The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert"), "To Wong Fu, Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar". Wesley is 42 today!
And finally, I couldn't go without mentioning J K Rowling, author of the Harry Potter books (as if I need to tell you!), who is 45 today.
Happy Birthday All!

Beautiful Day
Today was a really beautiful day, the first real one of this whole summer (those days in April do not count, that was spring). Where was I during this wonderful weather? In the office in Crawley, waiting for the phones to ring! It wasn't fair. I didn't even get to ogle the builders working on the building a couple of doors along from ours as they were working mainly at the front and our office looks at the back! Typical.
Back to the office tomorrow too! I don't really need to be there, but I feel I ought to be, just in case.

Mike Reid
I just want to pay tribute to the great English comedian and actor Mike Reid who died earlier today from a suspected heart attack age 67. At the risk of showing my age, I remember him from my childhood mainly for hosting the childrens television quiz show Runaround and from his stints on the Comedians. He is probably most remembered for his run as lovable rogue Frank Butcher on Eastenders.
After a bit of research tonight I found out a few things I never knew before too:
He appeared in Dr Who (back in 1966) in a story called "The War Machines"
Wikipedia also states that he has provided the voice of Brock for Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, that he appeared as Wullf Yularan in the original Star Wars and as Wullf Yularan Sr in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, and as Bail Organa in Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back, and as a cleaner in Battlestar Galactica, though I can't confirm any of these! [If anyone can confirm these "facts", with verification, I would be very grateful]

Birthday Vamp
Today's birthday boy is hot US actor, Stephen Dorff who is 34. He is probably best known, at least in sci-fi circles, as Deacon Frost in Blade. He has taken his shirt of many times, unfortunately I can't find many of those pictures.
Also today is the 35th birthday of Wil Wheaton, best known as Wesley Crusher in Star Trek: The Next Generation. I have never fancied him, but thought it was worth mentioning.
Happy Birthday Stephen.

Tired, but not as bad as I thought I'd be!
I DID get up at 04:30 this morning for the breakfast meeting with the BNI group. At first I was not impressed with the group, it all seemed a bit theatrical and Americanised, but it got better and I think the business could benefit from joining the group. The breakfast was nice too!
After the meeting, we went back to the office and it was one of the few times we have had all three of us in the office.
I left at just before 15:00 and once I got home I went to the printers to pick up the brochures we have had printed. There were 6 boxes and 5 of them were bloody heavy. I was knackered when I'd finished.
I got changed and then went into town to get this weeks comics, then sat in Soho Square and had some lunch. After this I decided to go for a couple of drinks. I went to Rupert Street first, then Barcode where I was surprised how busy it was, considering it was early. I then went to Comptons and then back to Barcode. There were a few good looking guys about, but none interested in me, so I came home. Gonna go to bed now, I may go out tomorrow night too, depending on how I feel tomorrow.

Early to rise?
After 5 1/2 years of shift work, I am now used to getting up at 05:30 on a day shift (it used to be earlier, when I lived in Hendon), but I am really not looking forward to getting up at 04:30 tomorrow and travelling to Three Bridges for a business breakfast tomorrow morning.
After the breakfast, which I am not looking forward to as I am not very good at schmoozing and I find it hard to pretend if I don't like someone. I am also quite shy with new people, not good in a businessman really, but I'll give it a go. Hopefully, I will surprise myself.
After the breakfast we are going back to the office, hoping that the second Metro advert will have more impact than the first.
I will be leaving in the early afternoon so I can go to the printers and collect the brochures we've had printed for our Gap Year Service. We can then begin to get these out to potential clients.
It is also comics day tomorrow, so I hope to have time to collect these too.
I may go out for drinks tomorrow night, but I may just stay in and save my money for Sunday (Soho Pride). If I'm not too hungover on Monday I will be going back to the office, otherwise it will be Tuesday before I get back there.
I would have been at the office on Wednesday too, if work hadn't sprung a training day on me. Then I will be back for 4 night shifts, during which I will also be on call for Worldsafe during the day, as Bob and Angela have decided to go to France for just over a week. I wish they had told me a month ago, so I could have booked the time off. I am going to be knackered. I HOPE I am going to be knackered, otherwise it means that we are getting no calls still!

Apparently, this is compulsory!!
I've mentioned my love of the song and video for Thriller before, so when I saw this I had to check it out. Not as funny as I thought it would be, but the "lady" made me laugh I bet she loved the change in uniform! I want to see the Sister Act songs, now that should be funny!!
Birthday Man
Today we have Jeremy Piven, not a well known name, but I can almost guarantee that you will have seen him in something. I first noticed Jeremy when he played Ellen's cousin in the sitcom Ellen and have seen him in support roles many times, my favourite film of his being Dr Jekyll and Ms Hyde. He tends to play comedy roles, as geeky or slimy characters but from the time I saw him in Ellen I found him strangely attractive. Then he was a bot podgy, but seems to have become more toned with age and so even more attractive. I would!! Happy 42nd birthday Jeremy.

Soho Pride
Just checked the 5 day forecast and the weather should be fairly good on Sunday for Soho Pride. I hope this only changes for the better. It would be nice to get summer at some point this year.

Frustrating
I am stuck on a day shift at my current job, when I actually want to be either in MY office sending out emails, phoning potential clients, or answering the phone to replies to our advertising. It is very frustrating not being able to quit this mind-numbing job and getting on with my REAL job.
I can't do anything here with people coming in and out of the control room all day long, and I have two more days of it! I have virtually nothing to do here, and I want to be busy in my office.

Blogger Problems Again
Is it just me, or is Blogger playing up. Yesterday and today I have not been able to move pictures once then have been uploaded, I used to be able to drag them from the top of the draft copy into the position I wanted them to be. I can't now. Ever since Blogger migrated via Blogger 2 (or whatever it was called) I seem to be able to do less than before. Since migration, when I post a picture it causes my paragraphs to separate by one line for each picture posted. It is quite annoying.
Also, since migration, I have been unable to post video's from YouTube onto the blog, I was able top do this before. YouTube cannot find my blog anymore for some reason.
I hope they manage to sort the migration out and actually make blogging easier soon, rather than more difficult!!
