I'm pleased to report that I have just had an update from Richard at the hospital to say that Tim has woken up a couple of times and has attempted to remove the tube from his throat. The doctors have had to re-sedate him to stop him doing this but it is great news that he has woken and that he is aware enough that the tubes are there and are uncomfortable enough that he wants them out.
I phoned Lynn to get confirmation that it was good news, which she did, and so I can relax slightly now. There is always the chance of complications, and if he does recover there could be disabilities, but things are looking so much better I feel like I can relax a bit now. I may even leave the flat, then again maybe I'll leave that for tomorrow.
Am considering Pride-ing again now tomorrow, but will make that decision in the morning. It depends what developments there are, how I feel and who else is going to be out.
But I now have a massive smile on my face that has been missing since Tim went home on Wednesday night.
