A Brief Absence

I do not know if I am going to have time to blog over the next week or so. Last night a friend of mine who regular readers will know of, Tim, took a substantial fall and fractured his leg, cheekbone and skull. He is in surgery as I type having a blood clot removed from his brain and I will be heading back to the hospital in a couple of hours to see how the surgery went.
I have been awake for over 36 hours now and I don't think I could sleep if I tried. I wish, just for once that we did not have this heat to contend with on top of the stress. I have to travel by underground and overground trains to get to the hospital which on its own would be stressful enough coming up to rush hour.

Sorry to you all, but I will resume normal service when I am able.
