Sun Sun Sun

After finally getting into the bathroom (it hadn't been occupied after all, someone had just left the light and extractor fan on, for how long I don't know), I had lunch and then went out and had a laze about in the sun down by Lakeside Terrace. It was surprisingly quiet there and so I had no qualms today about taking my top off. I had a nice secluded spot to one side which occasionally got a nice blast of wind to cool me down. The ducks were entertaining, if gang rape is your thing, there were 7 male mallards chasing around the pond after one lone female who did not want anything to do with any of them! It was strange to see also, that the ducks were very wary of the fish in the pond. Then again the big black fish were about the same size as the ducks.
At times I got bored with sunbathing, as I often do, so I occupied myself re-reading Tales of the City, a book I have read dozens of times and always find myself laughing out loud to. Unfortunately there was no eye candy to otherwise entertain me. But my tan is coming in nicely, or so my flatmate Jesse tells me.
I also asked Jesse about Virgin Active membership and she thinks it is about £60 a month, which is far more than I was expecting. So that, on top of the late start today is my excuse (not reason) for not going to enquire today about gum membership.

I got a text earlier from Richard telling me it was his birthday and that he would be in Soho for drinks later. It was great news as I felt like going out tonight anyway. Tim had previously told me he was busy, but later phoned to say that he would be out after all, so I am meeting him first before Richard joins us after having drinks with his work crowd first.

Oh, and I have arranged to have drinks on Friday with a certain gentleman from Facebook. I am not expecting anything, as we had a false start years ago, but who knows. And he seems to be doing most of the chasing, which isn't necessarily a good thing, as I can be put off by that (the whole, if-he-likes-me-then-there-must-be-something-wrong-with-him feeling that I always seem to get).
