I have to say that the 10 out gay competitors in the Beijing Olympics have done superbly, medal wise with seven out of the ten gaining medals.
The German Women's Football team, featuring Linda Bresonik, gained the silver medal. The USA team, featuring Natasha Kai, succeeded in winning gold in the same event.
The USA also won silver with their Women's Softball team, featuring Lauren Lappin and Vicky Galindo.
Norway's Women's Handball team, featuring Gro Hammerseng and Katja Nyberg, won the gold medal.
And the only out gay male competitor, Australia's cutie Matthew Mitcham, gained gold medal in Men's 10m Diving.
All in all a sucessful games for the LGBT contingent, and it will be interesting to see if any other athletes from the games come out after the event (as has happened after past games).
How long before we add a pink circle to the Olympic Rings? [joke]
