Star Wars

At work I have begun to read again, just to pass the time. When I first started in this job, back in December, I was reading almost a book a day as there was little else to do. About 2 months ago I found that the reading itself was sending me to sleep so I stopped, only to become more and more bored.
Last week I was so bored that I began to read one of the many books that my co-worker Matt leaves around the building. There must be at least 15 books here there and everywhere and that is not counting his locker!
The book I read was The Swarm War, part 3 of the Dark Nest trilogy of books, set within the Star Wars universe about 35 years after the films. I had read part 2, The Unseen Queen, a while ago, also one of Matt's books, but not the first book. The trilogy, written by Troy Denning, was extremely well written despite not "knowing" a lot of the characters, or some of the familiar characters "recent" history in the books. I was hooked while reading the books.
Last night I began reading another Star Wars book, Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader, by James Lucens. It follows on from where Revenge of the Sith leaves off, with a group of Jedi fighting and running for survival. Reading these books has got me yearning to dig out some of my vast Star Wars figure collection from the basement. It also has me hankering to buy even more figures, which is part of what got me into debt in the first place, thanks to the addictiveness of eBay!
I may just have to sate myself by retrieving a few figures for the time being as I certainly cannot afford to buy more figures at the present time!
A grown up man wanting more toys, eh? Whatever next?
