Monkey Magic

Speaking of the Olympics (as I just was in the last post! PAY ATTENTION!), I love the BBC's usage of animated characters of the new Journey to the West, featuring Monkey, Pigsy and Sandy as recreated by Damon Albarn and friends for their new opera, Monkey: Journey to the West, which I think I would like to see.
I have always loved these characters ever since the live-action Chinese television series, Monkey, was shown back in the 1970's here in the UK. At the time, and even now, I didn't know anyone who didn't like the show. It is a classic piece of television and I'm surprised that it isn't still on terrestrial television. I am guessing that it is still being shown on one of the satellite television stations that I never watch and would be grateful if someone would tell me where and when if it is.
As I've said I would like to see the new opera and was surprised that the cartoon version wasn't shown over here, or if it was I missed it, as I think it would have been and still could be really popular.
Mr Albarn, if you are reading (yeah! right!), here is your next money spinner:
A television cartoon series based on your newly adapted characters, with action figures, trading cards, computer games, lunch boxes and comics to compliment it. My idea is free to you, but any contributions are more than welcome!!!
