A BIG Happy Birthday to Joanna Lumley today. She has always been a fave actress of mine Since seeing her in the New Avengers, and Sapphire & Steel when I was a kid, and, of course, more recently when she was Patsy in Absolutely Fabulous. I always wanted, and still want, her to be the first female Dr Who. Now a friend of mine, Tim (BIG Dr Who fan), tells me that she did play the Doctor in a Children in Need (or Comic Relief) spoof, but she should be the real thing. 
I look forward to her next big project, whatever that may be. Oh, and bring back Sapphire & Steel to the telly.And, a final quick plea to Her Majesty, isn't it about time it was Dame Joanna Lumley?
