Strictly Surprising

I have just caught up with this weekend's Strictly Come Dancing action. I knew the result of the show already, thanks to BBC News page and others making it hard to miss, but I was still glad that I watched the whole show.
The Argentine Tango was a new dance introduced to Strictly and I was dubious, as I am really not a fan of the Tango. I was so amazed when I watched Lisa & Brendan's dance as it seemed flawless and stunning to watch, with such intricate moves and kicks. I think it just may take over from the Jive as my favourite dance. I make notes as I'm watching, so I don't forget what happened and I can say, on here, exactly what I think. The only thing I wrote for their dance was A-MAZ-ING - loved it.

Then later when Rachel & Vincent performed theirs I was even more blown away. Vincent is a Tango specialist and performed an example of the Argentine Tango with his professional dance partner Flavia and two other dancers last week. I thought that was great, but this was also amazing, more so I think because Rachel isn't a professional.

Tom & Camilla's was just not in the same league I'm afraid. I really want him to win, but I just do not think that he is quite as good as he should be if he had improved at the same rate as the other two. I said last week that he would win, but I'm not so sure now. His freestyle dance could be amazing next week, but it will be a tough competition.
Although Rachel & Vincent and Lisa & Brendan were joint top of the leader board after the judges scores and Tom & Camilla were last, all three couples are going though to the final next week as the public vote would have meant that, no matter what Tom & Camilla would have been in the dance off. At least, that is the official line being used. I have a feeling that, as they were expecting three couples to be in the final when the show began (John Sergeant bowed out remember) that the BBC had made this decision before the show even started. But that may be me being cynical, which I am very good at. The couples' reactions when they found out the news was brilliant.

The results show was great to watch despite this lack of tension about who would be going through. There was a freestyle dance performance from Craig Smith & Natalie Woolf which was great. Being freestyle, it was more of a strength act, than a dance, but I love watching those anyway, especially when you get to see the strong guys' muscles, which Craig had plenty of. He's good looking too.

The Jive performed by 6 of the professional dancers was good, though still not as good as the Rebel Yell dance from a couple of years ago.
And I always love a good song from a musical, and "All That Jazz" from Chicago was great, especially as one of the performers also had a great body and was good looking too.

Oh to be the filling in the sandwich between him and Craig Smith (with Austin Healey as relish!!).

Excuse me, I have to go now for a cold shower! DAMN, I forgot the shower is bust!

i agree with everything u said there alex-loved lisa and brendan then thought wow when i saw rachel and vincents-i lov the at its so passionate and intricate-i was watching them teach it on it takes two and me and my dad tried a few steps was quite good if i say so myself!

im a bit dubious about the result aswell-it didnt bother me firt of all then i kept thinking would the same ha happened if lisa was bottom of the table

i love tom but he wasnt nearly as good as the other two-although i do think lisa's quickstep was overmarked

they knew abut js leaving weeks ago so why not have a hiatus of someone not leaving back then?

If they had had a week without someone leaving then they would have had to tellpeople not to phone in, therefore not got tons of money from the calls. Cynical again?
