In rememberance

On this day in 1999, David Copeland, a sad and deluded young man, left a nail bomb in the Admiral Duncan pub in Old Compton Street, Soho, London. The bomb exploded killing three people and an unborn child and injuring 79 other people. Nick Moore, John Light, Andrea Dykes and her unborn child were the fatalities. I just thought that they should be remembered and our thought go out to their families, and to the family of David "Sinders" Morley, who was manager of the pub at the time, who was killed in a so-called "happy-slapping" killing in October 2004.

Happy Birthday your majesty

Just wanted to say a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden, who is 60 today.

Speeking of Sweden, here are a few pictures of Sweden's current greatest current export, Freddie Ljungburg.....

Dr Who, Sarah Jane Smith & K9

I managed to get away early from work yesterday, which meant that I got home just as Dr Who was starting, perfect timing. I enjoyed the episode with the return of Sarah Jane Smith and K-9, loved the banter between Sarah Jane and Rose, loved the fact that Micky is joining the Doctor and Rose, loved K-9's return and Micky's realisation that he is "the tin dog" of the current line-up, but I would like a return to the old format of 1/2 hour episodes making up a whole story over the course of a week or two, because they do seem to sort things out far too quicky each episode now. David Tenant is good as the Doctor, but not as good as Christopher Eccleston was. Overall, though, I approve and I'm sure that my mate Tim, a massive Dr Who fan, is happy, especially at the return of Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen), whome he has met personally.

International Dance Day

Today is apparently International Dance Day (or World Dance Day) so, any excuse to show muscular men who happen to be dancers or dancing.

Brodie Holland / An Aussie Rules Footballer who took part in "Dancing with the stars." I watched this dance, and wasn't too impressed, sorry Brodie, but with a body like that and his looks, who gives a f**k.

Mark Dalton, as regular blog-readers will know, is a real fave of mine. So am glad to have yet another excuse to post a picture of him. He does fit in here though as he does dance (yes, it is done mostly naked, stripper-type dancing) but it is still dancing.

And then there is Kip Gamblin, the actor from Australia (formerly in Home & Away, and soon to be in Casualty). Now he really fits in here as he trained as a ballet dancer, so out of the three he is the most qualified to be in this selection, but in the spirit of International Dance Day, anyone can dance so they all belong. Dancing is exercise and so everyone should give it a try (even if, like me, it is in the privacy of your own home!).

And, thanks to Tottyland for pointing me in the right direction, we also have that sexy hunk of a beast Mark Telfer (not the footballer), doing a strip for us. (I am also wondering if that really is his "thing" at the end?)

Maybe he was just hungover

Read a story on BBC News:
A storm-clearance worker was working about 50 miles from Darwin, Australia, when he was charged by a 14.5 foot long crocodile. Quite sensibly, he shoved his chainsaw at the beast and then proceeded up a tree out of its way. The monster, which was named Brutus (who named it I do not know), destroyed the chainsaw only losing a couple of teeth in the process.

If only I'd carried on gymnastics at school

The only sport I really took any interest in at school was gymnastics (partialy because I fancied the teacher, Mr Gibbs, who also taught rugby and was Welsh, nice accents), but I always wanted to be able to do somersaults. I wasn't particularly good at it, but was willing to persevere, unfortunately the teacher left and there was no one interested in teaching gymnastics after that so I didn't progress any further. Oh well. If I had continued I may have been as flexible as this guy, just look how impressed the guy in the background is! Or maybe he is just wishing his face was there? I do like gymnasts, it must be the muscular arms I think, and the chests, oh, and their flexibility!!. And a surprising amount of them are actually good looking too. Check them out, and if you get chatting, give them my number!
And, I love unusual, or funny names (for example we have a Mr Looney working at my workplace!) But I do like this guys name, totally innocent in his home country I'm sure but Ivan Ivankov brings a certain image to my mind (but then I am dirty!).

Looks painful to me!

I saw this picture (above) and just thought that it looked so unnatural, and painful. Like a car crash, I just had to keep looking at it.
Much like this picture (below) of a "push-me-pull-you person", very freaky!!

I want this top

I do like these hoodies, but I wonder how long it would be before you got told to take it off by the police, or something. I do like it though. Would be a talking point at least. I would love to see the reactions of little old ladies and nuns, but maybe that's just me being a naughty little boy!!

Good night out

Had a great time last night, met up with Tim and we had a good time. There was one guy in Comptons who I thought was quite sexy, but he was totally rat-arsed, so I didn't pursue anything there. And there was one nice guy in Rupert Street, but he was with two friends and didn't seem to notice me. Other than that there wasn't that many horny guys about. It didn't matter though, as Tim and I always have a laugh. Had a bit of a hangover this morning and typically got a call on my mobile from my (frequently-absent mate) Lee, I wasn't impressed.
But I finally got up at about 12 noon and went into town to get my comics, including some Civil War issues (though they'd sold out of Fantastic Four already!), and Annihilation: Ronan (am loving Annihilation), the first issue of Ion (I love all things Green Lantern), Incredible Hulk (Planet Hulk is fantastic), and best of all the new A-Z Handbook. A good day for comics. Back to work tomorrow.

Off out tonight

Yep, that's right, I'm off out tonight to meet Tim for a drink or five! Will have to start getting ready in a moment. Am on the look-out for the man of my dreams, (but one night of dreams will do). So, I'm gonna be out for a good time tonight and any hunky guys are more than welcome to join us.

ANZAC day

As well as my sister's birthday, the birthday of Erasure singer Andy Bell, and talented American comedy actor Hank Azaria (Simpsons, Godzilla and Bird Cage), it is ANZAC Day. A day for Australian and New Zealand people to comemorate those from the Australia and New Zealand Army Corps who have lost their lives. I have a fascination with all things Australia and so would like to offer my thanks and condolences to the soldiers who fought and died for all our freedoms, during the World Wars and since. Thank You.

So tired.

Well, my decision was made for me yesterday. After getting in from night shift, I went to bed and didn't wake up until 18:30, so it was a bit too late to get ready to go out, so I stayed in and watched Prison Break. It just gets better and better, fantastic series. I know I keep going on about it but it is a must see program.
This morning I've realised that I forgot to get mys sister her birthday card, so I'll have to phone her later and apologise.
Am watching Paul O'Grady on Channel 4 (there is nothing else on, I don't normally watch this drivel), and he has some penguins on. Aparently it is Penguin Day today, to mark the day that Antarctic penguins begin their migration. What will they think of next?
I've slept most of today again and so have wasted the day. Have two more days off and still nothing planned (except comics on Thursday). Must do something.

Four Days Off

I've now got 4 days off work and have no plans at all at the moment. I am not that flash for money and so I can't go mad if I do go out, so will have to make it tonight that I go out as it is cheap drinks in Barcode and Comptons, or maybe I'll go out and survive on peas and pasta every night, as I did at the end of last month!! Will have to get in touch with Paul and Tim to see if they are up for drinks.

The NEW Lady Liberators

I've had an idea. While reading an entry for Adrenazon in the marvunapp.com site and there was a suggestion that Adrenazon, Nosferata and Phantom Blonde could team up to rescue She-Hulk in some future story. Excellent idea. Then I was checking out the upcoming comics on Marvel.com and saw that the Marvel Legacy: 1970's is out next month, with an entry on the Lady Liberators. If you merge the two ideas then you have a reborn superhero team. With the addition of Southpaw, Huntara, Nemesis, Free Spirit, and maybe Motormouth or Dark Angel, you could have a whole new on-going series, or at the very least a limited series with them battling a new Femizons group led by Superia (from Captain America Vol1). Just an idea.

Happy drinking

Hey, I just found out that it is National Beer Day in Germany. If ever there was a good excuse to forgive the Germans for the War then this is it. Any excuse for a drink, eh?

Happy St George's Day

It is St George's Day today, now I know it is frowned upon here in England, and at the risk of offending illegal (and legal) immigrants, I thought I'd start the celebrations by posting some pictures of sexy Georges. (Any excuse really eh?)

That was more difficult than I thought it would be!

That's George Eads (CSI); George of the Jungle (Brendan Fraser); & George Vidanov (I've no idea who he is!); by the way!!

Dr Who

I have just finished watching the second episode of this season of Dr Who on BBC1. Wow, I loved it! I liked the last episode, but this one was f*****g great. Links to the upcoming Torchwood series, hints that the Royal Family are werewolves, a preview of next week with K9 and Sarah Jane Smith. I think I will have to purchase the first season on DVD as I missed some of the episodes last year, and this season too when it finally comes out.
David Tennant is excellent as the Doctor (Sir Doctor of TARDIS, as I should refer to him now!) and I can't wit to see more.
Who is your favourite Doctor then?

Car-Wash Heaven

I think someone needs to explain the concept of CAR-wash to these boys.
On second thoughts, lets leave them to it! Do you agree?

Poor little rich club!?!?

I have just seen that Manchester United Football Club, (incidentally the second RICHEST club in the world), have been GIVEN £30,000 of LOTTERY MONEY to help keep their staff fit!! I cannot believe that they would get money, let alone for that. And what will the money be used for exactly? Yoga lessons and lunchtime walking sessions? Excuse my ignorance, but how much money do you need to go walking? I think I must be in debt with the British Walking Association as I walk every day and haven't paid my fees at all!?!

Stop giving the twat press coverage!

Pete Dougherty is in trouble with the law yet again for drug offences, mere hours after being released from court concerning previous offences! Who really cares, he is a waste of space who should be ignored, left alone with his drugs, and allowed to die choking on his own vomit. Even that, I fear, will fail to make him a successful musician (you actually need talent for that Pete!)

Happy Birthday Ma'am.

Happy 80th Birthday to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.In a time when it isn't always the done thing to praise the Monarchy, I would like to say, "Good on you, Your Majesty."
I am in favour of the Monarchy. I think they are a link to our history which should be retained for as long as possible. What I do not agree with is all of the hangers-on. The civil list needs to be trimmed, again and the amount spent reduced dramatically (it was £9,900,000 in 2003!) But, in my opinion, the immediate Royal Family do a good job on the whole; with their support for charities, and the awareness they bring for those charities; their work in the military; the tourists they bring in to the country, and the many industries that exist because of the interest in souvenir tat. (And then there is the fact that Prince William was born on my 10th Birthday!)
I would also like to say that you look very good for 80 years old, Your Majesty.

Changed my work screen saver again

I have a new screen saver at work, but I think it will only last for this set of night shifts, while the bosses are away, you can see why. My work colleagues love the images I have as my screen savers, well the ones that aren't of hunky men anyway. so I do feel that I'm providing an essential service here, improving morale and keeping the workforce laughing, that's my excuse anyway.

A Swiss holiday sounds good.

Saw a story on BBC News that the Swiss Tourist Board are hoping to attract female travellers during this years Football World Cup. So they have a collection of hunky men to entice them in television adverts that have become popular on the internet too.

Happy Birthday

I was just checking out Wikipedia (one of my favourite sites) and I saw that today is David Tenant's 35th birthday, so I just wanted to say a big "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to the new Dr Who. Have a great day mate. I forgot to say how great Dr Who was on Saturday night, well worth staying in for. Very funny in places too (Like when Cassandra possessed Rose's body and whined, "I'm a Chav!")
For those who are interested it is also Melissa Joan Hart's 30th birthday (Sabrina the not-so teenage witch). And it would have also have ben the birthday of an American comedian named, wait for it, Pigmeat Markham, I kid you not, had he not died in 1981.

Prison Break last night

Wow, you know I've been loving this series, but last night's episode of Prison Break was really great, just as things seen to be coming to a head, big changes, twists and turns, obstacles and more killing. Fantastic series, well worth watching. Wentworth Miller isn't really my type, especially with those aweful tattoos, but he has a beautiful face and great, full, kissable lips. I'd give it a go, just ot be sociable. :-)
