Inevitable Apparently

I went out for drinks with Tim last night, starting off, as usual, in the Duke of Wellington. We were not particularly happy with how busy everywhere was, being a Friday, but there was nothing we could do about it. There were a few nice guys about, but it was far too busy to actually cruise for anyone.
We went from the Duke to the Yard, to Comptons, to Rupert Street. Tim left at around 23:00, as he had to work today, and I went on to Barcode, as usual. Tim had asked if I intended to go to Chariots later, to which I replied I had no intention of ending up there again, and had not even given it a thought until he mentioned it.
When Barcode closed I wasn't in the mood to go home, and in an effort NOT to end up at Chariots I decided to go to the 2 Brewers, so got a taxi there. When the 2 Brewers closed I still didn't want to go home and was still feeling horny. I got in a taxi and asked to go to Barbican. When I was almost home I gave in to temptation and told the driver I'd changed my mind and he took me to Chariots. I felt so week, but I really needed some human contact.
I had quite a bit of fun in there, which surprised me given how late it was (by this time it was almost 05:00!). There was one guy especially who I really liked and got on with, as I didn't have my phone (it was in my locker) or a pen, he told me his Gaydar profile name and even spelled it out for me, but do you think I can remember it now? No! I remember that it was 7 letters and starts with a "P", but other than that I have no idea! Shame, he was nice and sexy.
I eventually got home at 08:00 this morning and was shocked when I worked out that I had spent about £120 last night (including £50 on taxis, £15 for Chariots, bar entry fees and drinks!). I guess it balances out because the other week I had a whole night out for less than £30, so can't really complain. And I only have a slight hangover and am feeling like I want to go to the gym today, though I don't think my hangover would remain mild if I did (I only want to go for the steam room / sauna today anyway, I think).
I feel like a failure because I failed to resist the temptation of cock (going to Chariots), but blame Tim because he was the one who put the idea in my head in the first place!

The way I remember it:
I said to you: " so I expect you'll be going to chariots tonight eventhough your about to tell me that your not going to chariots" To which you replied: "I'm not going to chariots"!

I know you so well!

I stand by my decision to blame you 100%, as I hadn't even thought of going to Chariots before you mentioned it, and also because it relieves me of the guilt of spending so much bloody money on one night out!!!! :-P

Hey Dorian, I don't intend on going to Chariots again any time soon, but, from your blog, it sounds like you are a local so maybe I'll see you around.
What gym do you go to?

I go to York Hall, by Bethnal Green tube. What about you?

Have you tried other saunas in London? Any you can recommend that is better than Chariots?

I go to Virgin Active at Barbican (which has very active sauna and steam rooms!).
The only over London sauna that I've been to is Chariots in Vauxhall which was nice, cleaner than Shoreditch and right next to Barcode Vauxhall (so if you don't pull you can pop in there!)
