...and it is only 13:45!
Despite feeling like I have a heavy cold coming on (it has been threatening for the last 4 days), I managed to drag myself out of bed at about 10:00 to get to my Optimax appointment for 11:30. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were happy with my eyes' progress and signed me off, meaning that I won't have to go back every 8 weeks for check ups. The next time I should go to the opticians will be in 2 years time! Excellent.
I popped into Superdrug on the way home and got some bargains (including using a 10% off voucher). Then also got some bargains in W.H.Smith (including a £30 book reduced to £9.99 which came up as £6 at the till).
Let's hope that my luck continues.
I'm going to try the gym today, despite not being able to breathe through my nose, and see how I go. I think that I will give Soho a miss tonight to give me a chance to recover properly, though I could still change my mind on this, especially if I find out that someone else is out. We shall see.
