Stressed

I cannot express how stressed I feel at this particular moment.
I was woken up at 04:30 this morning by the wireless internet router I have in my room (which feeds the whole flat). It was going crazy switching itself off then on, off then on every 20 seconds or so. I eventually managed to get back to sleep, but when I woke again at about 07:30 the router was showing a red light (meaning it wasn't working). I tried turning it off and on, turning it off again and waiting a while before turning it back on again, disconnecting and then reconnecting all the wires, all to no avail.
I had decided last night that, after wasting the whole day yesterday doing nothing, I would get out of the flat today and go and visit the Natural History Museum as I had been meaning to for a few years.
As I left the flat I informed Kevin about the internet and hoped that he would have it sorted by the time I returned.
I didn't enjoy the Museum as much as I thought I would (it hadn't changed much since I was last there about 7 years ago and actually seemed to have less there), so after purchasing one book on prehistoric animals, I left and came home.

When I got in the internet still wasn't sorted. Kevin was completely disinterested (saying he was too busy today, while he was sat outside in the sun smoking a cigarette!). I decided to go out and get some sun myself at Lakeside Terrace. I managed to take my mind off of things by watching the ducks, fish, water-boatmen and even a couple of gulls swooping over the pond in u-shape flight patterns trying to frighten a 3-foot tall heron away (they were only partially successful as it just flew to the other end of the pond).
When I returned to the flat a second time nothing had changed. I tried the same procedures again to no avail. After 18:00 Kevin came up to the flat with a new router and I thought everything would be fixed. He gave it to me to install via my laptop, as it needed to be done through a computer (god forbid you should actually be able to actually buy something and just switch it on nowadays!). I followed the instructions (though they made no sense to me - "locate the cable that connects your modem to your computer" - Erm, there isn't one because it is "W-I-R-E-L-E-S-S"). Despite following the instructions I just could not get all the icons on the router to light up and thus it would not connect. After trying about 15 times (I'm not exaggerating) I gave up, unplugged everything and took all the equipment, old and new, and dumped it on the dining room table. Someone else could do it.
Just as I was about to go to bed with a migraine, Kevin waltzes up to the flat at last and gets me to fetch all the new equipment back to my room, plugs it all in (exactly as I did) and it works!
How Fucking Frustrating!!
SO, I am now connected again to the internet and so will try and catch up on what I have missed today, though I am wired and do not know how to make the wireless feature work. I can't be bothered to go through the stressful process again today, so will leave it for the morning, and hopefully Kevin can do it himself then.
I think I will require more than one Kalm tablet tonight, just to take my mind off the stress. AND, I think I deserve to go out for a few drinks tomorrow night, though I am a bit reticent as I will have to drink alone, which is never fun, especially on a Wednesday night. Oh, well, we shall see.
