Given that the weather is great today, I was quite disappointed with the lack of gorgeous men out and about today. So, I shall have to be content with the sight I had this morning of one of my neighbours cleaning his windows topless.
Unfortunately for me, this man, who is good looking, has a nice athletic, slightly muscular frame and a nice smile, is going out with my flat mate Jessica. It is a fairly new thing, which caused me a slight amount of false hope a few weeks back, before I knew about their relationship.
I was looking out of my window, as I do quite a bit when I have nothing to do (which is most days!). I saw this handsome guy pull up on a bike on the other side of the road and he looked up at this flat. I though my luck was in and then his eyes moved away from my window and off to my right, he then waved at someone (I later found out that this was Jessica). I was incredibly disappointed, especially as I had thought about this guy quite a bit since I had seen him topless before (again cleaning his windows). He is very much the type of guy I could see myself settling down with (physically, I don't know about his personality as I haven't met him yet. If and when Jessica does bring him to the flat and introduce us I shall be extremely embarrassed!).
Because I now know he is unavailable I try to make an effort not to look over at his flat, despite the incredible temptation. And he isn't the only temptation across the road. In the flat next door to him live a gorgeous, very muscular, Arab-looking guy who is someone I could NOT see myself with as a couple, as I don't think we would be compatible even if he was gay, but who I fantasize about anyway! When I first noticed that he lived opposite me I saw him in his window topless a couple of times (it was only ever a glimpse as he keeps his curtains almost closed nearly all of the time). I'm almost certain that he know that I like him and assume that is why I never see his gorgeous chest any more. Oh well.
A good reason for not staring at either of these lovely guys opposite is because of who lives below the muscular guy. This guy, who I am almost certain is gay, is very much NOT my type, he is incredibly skinny, quite tall and has a fair amount of unkempt facial hair. I'm sure he is a nice guy (he gets more visitors than I do, but then again I don't get any!), but I don't like him to think I'm staring at him. Oh, one other feature of this guy that I should mention is that I frequently see him naked in his flat, and, despite the fact that he has a very large penis, I still do not want to stare at him!
As I have probably mentioned many times before, I also live next to a YMCA which, because of the gym it contains, has a fair amount of gorgeous, fit young guys milling around. So I also get to stare at these guys when I am stood at my window.
All these temptations, plus the fair amount of good-looking city types that also pass by window, and the fact that I love to people watch anyway, make the room that I have, and it's accompanying views bearable, despite the many other drawbacks that this "Flat From Hell" has.

Hi there Alex,
I've been reading your blog daily for more than a month now... All in all's one of those I enjoy reading the most... I am not being horrible or anything but would you consider making it more user friendly??
Yellow text, really? Not so great for readability... consider that if like me other people catch up on their feeds with something like google reader or feedly that's yellow on white bg...
Just a thought

Sorry Nick, didn't think of how it looks on other formats, I ust try to match the colour to my mood or the content of the posting. Will try to avoid the lighter colours from now on.
Cheers for reading though.
