I don't know what to do!!
So, I have been for my interview, not that many questions were asked, and have visited the site I would potentially be working on. But I am still not sure if I should take the job or not. It is paying the absolute basic I would need to get by, it is only a small team of guards, and the duties are so basic that I'm scared I will get bored very quickly (i.e. the first day) with little to do and few people to talk to. The job is literally 2 minutes walk away from home though and the site manager seems okay. Alternatively I could go for a job with an ex-manager of mine for 38p extra an hour, the site is further away, though not exceptionally so, but I would have to wait approximately 4 weeks while they complete the vetting, before I could start. I really do not know what to do!What I need is someone to make the dicision for me, or a cheque to drop through my letter box from the premium bonds!! Help!!

can u wait the 4 weeks with wot money u have? if so id say wait if u prefer the other one-and would u definitely get it?
If this job is the one paying 8.5 an hour then in those 4 weeks you'd earn, for a 40 hour week, 1360 pounds gross. The extra 38p in the other job would start 'paying off' after you'd worked 1360/0.38 = 3579 hours. So I don't think the 38p should necessarily be a factor.
How's the cat ?
LOL thanks for the maths lesson.
There was no guarantee that the other job would have gone through (with the unpredictability of references etc) so that is why I took the first job.
Frank is back to his old self. Has the occassional limp but normall is bounding around the place like a kitten. His fur is almost grown back too, so the scar is almost covered up.
Just as I typed that he lept onto my lap and is laying there quietly! Bless him!
