Leaving Drinks

I went to the leaving drinks of the Dog Section from my former employers last night. It was at the Ye Olde London Pub on Ludgate Hill, a regular haunt of my former work colleagues for years. And I wasn't at all jealous that they got to have leaving drinks and I didn't!!!!
It was a big turn-out, there must have been about 50 people throughout the night and it was good fun. All of the Dog Section and lots of the guard force were there, obviously, a few old faces including the old security manager for the company we were contracted to (whom everyone hated at the time, but now we all wish he had stayed because standards have just collapsed since he left), some receptionists, NO managers (I think they knew they weren't welcome), and even the window cleaners were there (one of whom, Dave, I have had a crush on since he started, shame he is straight [I think])! Kevin even turned up, as he used to work there too (which is how I know him!)
Jacquie, the token lesbian among my former colleagues, was there with her "wife" and she said to me: "I have someone to introduce you to, he is gorgeous!" I didn't get my hopes up luckily. He was good looking, but very camp, which just isn't my thing!
I had informed Lee of the drinks, as he used to work with me there and a few people had asked me to invite him too. He couldn't make it unfortunately, as he was working in Leicester during the day and couldn't get back in time (at least that is the excuse he gave me!).
I found out that at least one of my colleagues, Elliott (who I also have a crush on), has been headhunted by the company that I just got rejected by! Once again, I'm not jealous!!
I did some networking while I was there and got a job offer, but it was for a lot less than I'm used to earning (about £4 an hour less!!), but that is the most that this guy can pay on his current contracts. At least I know I have something to fall back on should I get desperate!
I only had 2 drinks bought for me, which was a bit disappointing, but I still had a great night anyway.
When the pub began closing I said my goodbyes and made my way to Soho. On the way I picked up a voicemail message from Tim saying he was out if I wanted to join him for drinks. By this time he would have gone home already so I just texted him back and went on to Barcode until it closed. All in all a good night, though disappointing in that I didn't get a snog which I was hoping for, oh well!
