Australia: The Australian blood service pleaded for people to donate yesterday, saying that it had only 36 hours worth of supplies left. Unfortunately they are still not accepting blood from gay donors, saying that it “isn’t safe enough”. At present only Italy and Spain accept blood from sexually active gay men, with challenges to exclusion policies proceeding in South Africa, the UK and the US.

Israel: Gay Jewish porn star, Michael Lucas, is to visit Israel at the end of the month to show solidarity and raise awareness for gay issues. He will be performing a free live gay show for soldiers in Tel Aviv.

IRA killer Sean O’Callaghan was tied up and held at knife point by 2 men he met at a gay pub in London. The two went on to ransack the house he was looking after, which belongs to author Ruth Edwards taking a computer, jewellery credit cards and cash.
