I thought I would sort out the memory card for the camera immediately, so I did a search for the cheapest memory card and batteries and it came up as Argos again. So, off I toddled back to the same shop, which is about a mile away. I purchased my items at the automated machine with the numbers I'd got off of the website. Collection was very quick and I came straight home to start playing with the camera.
When I checked prices I had searched for SD memory cards, as the pamphlet in the camera package had told me, "any compatible SD memory card" it had said. I failed to check on the size of the one I had purchased and ended up with a microSD card, which is for mobile phone usage only.
I really do not know if I can be bothered to walk back to Argos for a third time today. It is a horrible mix of sunny and incredibly windy out there so you have to wear a coat or jumper for the gusty burst which last a while, but when the wind stops it is really quite warm. I hate indecisive weather. I would rather it pissed down all day! I guess I will, as I have lots of time left before the store closes and they may reject my request to swap as apparently this item is excluded from the "30 day Money Back Guarantee." The way my luck is going today, I will have to keep it AND buy a compatible card too!
What happened to the good old days when you got everything in one package? When you could just buy something, plug it in or turn it on and go? Did I imagine those days?
