I was woken by the postman this morning with another parcel from eBay. But when the normal post turned up about 3 hours later (shouldn't it arrive early, before the parcel post?) there was no ring at the door despite there being a note saying I had to pay for a letter as there was insufficient postage on it. I had to trek all the way to Mount Pleasant (near Kings Cross to collect it and it turned out to not be either of the two missing parcels I am waiting for from eBay (which are 2 weeks late) but my membership card and tie from the Kings Cross Steelers, all because the postage was 8p short, meaning that I had to pay £1.08 extra on top of the £35 membership I've already paid!
My weak knee was aching by the time I got back home, via picking up my dry cleaning, and so I was happy to sit down in from of the television with a cup of tea to watch the first episode of this season of The Sarah Jane Adventures. It was actually an okay episode (I can't gush over these stories as they are made for children and so not of the same complexity as other Dr Who stories, but still worth watching). I can't wait for the episodes in about 2 weeks time which are the ones co-starring David Tennant as the Doctor, that one should be good.
I am still feeling down, as I was yesterday, and as I am going to be back at work tomorrow I am guessing that this funk isn't going to shift until at least Monday night. Let's hope that work has some surprises for me, such as an opportunity for change for me, or at the very least some good news on my holiday pay, or even an actual pay rise (Yeah! Right!).
