Waiting

I hate this. This is one of the reasons that I hate working night shifts. I am sat here in my room with nothing to do. I don't want to go out and get myself all tired from walking around shopping or something, as I have a 12 hour shift starting at 19:00 tonight. I am probably going to go back to bed in a while to try and get some more sleep before I have to endure the boredom of 12 hours of nothing very much with no stimulation and no decent company.
I was slightly hopeful earlier when I received a call from a recruitment agency who had a position they thought might suit me. I prepared myself for a telephone interview only to be told that it was for a security position. NO THANK YOU. I want OUT of this god-awful industry. I want to be treated like a human being for a change, working days only, and not working 12 hours every time. I want to work with people I actually like being in the company of. I want to have something to do all day, I like being busy. Boredom makes my mind shut down. Makes me turn off. I've been turned off for the last 2 years. I need a job that will switch me on again.
Come on, someone, please press my "ON" button!!!!

I know what you mean but it sure is hard to find jobs like that these days for working class stiffs like us.
Here is the US all the manufacturing jobs that paid well enough to support yourself and get ahead a little are all gone. The only thing left is retail and the service industry which sucks. I don't know how you can sustain an economy with a situation like this for very long.
