I truly deserve my four days off this time around. I worked my butt off over the last four night shifts, going through every single key we have for the building to make sure that they all fit and that we know exactly what they are for. I managed, in only about 4 hours per shifts, as that is all my duties allowed, to check out from the ground floor all the way up to and including the seventh. The only areas that I wasn't able to do in the time were the basements and the upper [plant] floors.
I am glad that I had something to do while I was at work, as it made each shift really speed past, but I am also resentful as I feel like I am the only supervisor doing any work. The only one putting myself out, willing to more than the minimum. It is really annoying me as I get paid exactly the same as the others and they do virtually nothing to better our working environment. It's frustrating and very demoralising. Let's hope that one day soon I get something back from this unfulfilling job, it'll be about time!
