I went to Oxford Street today planning to treat myself to some new clothes for a rip out in Soho tonight. Things haven't quite worked out that way though. I couldn't find anything that I really liked, though I did buy a long sleeved white top which is far to sheer really, but I thought I would give it a go.
While I was looking though I did see a couple of things that could make good Christmas presents, so I decided that today would be a Christmas shopping day instead. I did quite well and got presents for one of my nephews, one of my nieces and all three of my great-nieces. I still need to buy for each of them some more and of course not forgetting the others, but it is a very good start.
I have been very lazy over the last 3-4 years and just got them all money, mainly because I was short of money and didn't know, until the day of my visit for Christmas, how much money I would be able to spare. But, this year I am a bit more flushed with cash and so can spend more and buy them actual presents which is always so much better than cash (well, if you get the present right anyway!). Let's hope that my sisters either don't buy me anything, or get me decent, useful presents this year. No more alcohol, nor teapots for one, or juggling balls!!!! That makes me sound so ungrateful doesn't it!?!
The result of my shopping trip today though is that I forgot to get some of the stuff I went out for in the first place, toiletries from Superdrug. I also am suffering with my knee which is really aching badly. So, I really do not feel like standing up for a few hours in a crowded bar all alone with a knee that is killing me! My night out has been postponed once more! I wish I had bought a DVD today, that way I would have something to do tonight. Oh well!!
