Strictly Unnecessary

Strictly Come Dancing has just finished and Phil Tufnell is out. Which is a bit surprising for me as I thought it was his best dance yet. I'm not really a fan of his, so that is saying something.
It felt like a stand-in show for the real thing though as so much had gone wrong this week. Bruce Forsyth was off sick with the flu, so Tess Daly was the principle presenter for a change. They had Ronnie Corbett co-presenting with her, though he barely did anything so it seemed like he was really unnecessary. Claudia Winkleman was backstage and she was brilliant as usual.
My favourite dancer, and I am still surprised that she is that about Jade Johnson, was not dancing this week after he knee "popped" during dress rehearsal. Such a shame as she looked stunning in her tango dress, and Ian was so looking forward to dancing the tango which he hasn't been able to do for about 4 years on the show.
Laila apparently injured her knee as well, though for some reason (perhaps the fact that I don't like her) I am not sure if I believe her 100%. I just felt that she was after the sympathy vote and she gave up half way through her dance. She was saved by the public. AGAIN! Please vote her out next week. PLEASE!!!

I was watching most of the show in the living room with two of my flatmates. Surprisingly they had chosen to watch is as I had resigned myself to watching it on-line, but when I realised they were watching it too I joined them. As the Jersey Boys were singing, our other flatmate came in, Penny. She likes X-Factor and was visibly disappointed when we weren't watching that. She walked in front of the television and "accidentally" switched the DVD player on which made us lose the channel we were on! I went back to watching the show in my room on-line so missed most of the song and all of the street dancing unfortunately.

Next week, hopefully Bruce will be back and we have Dame Shirley Bassey singing. Can't wait.
