I'm Still Thinking "Who?"

I've finally got everything done and sat down to watch Dr Who Confidential on BBC iPlayer (having been very surprised to see that it was on there so quickly after being on BBC1 late this afternoon), and I have just seen who the new Doctor will be.

Matt Smith!

Who?

Exactly!

Oh!

I've not actually seen any of his previous acting and was initially dismayed when they first stated, before they mentioned his name or showed him, that it was the youngest person to take on the role. I didn't want a young actor, I didn't think that a young actor could pull it off. But after seeing the interview with Matt Smith, I am feeling strangely encouraged. He has a mysterious, yet likeable quality, and seems to have tackled a variety of roles already. He isn't that bad too look at, although big hair is always a worry (will it take on a life of its own?), but I am just thinking, get this year's Dr Who Specials out of the way and bring in the new guy (sorry David, but you are old news now! Watching the upcoming and new specials will be a little bit like watching repeats. You are always thinking that this is good but I want to see the new stuff!).
