Who's On-Line Now?

OK I've gotta move!!

I have really had enough of this place now. Nothing really major has happened recently, but I just cannot relax in my own "home" and it is just not good enough. I can't really afford to go back to renting on my own, but I don't see that I have any choice. I can't risk renting with people I don't know again in case things are as bad, or worse than they are at the moment.

Why do I need to move:
  • The place is a fucking mess! I know the painting and decorating will eventually get finished by the smell of paint and the disruption (not being able to move around the flat freely) is doing my head in.
  • On any given day there can be up to 3 workmen in the flat, sometimes I've never seen them before, but have to assume that Kevin has brought them in! I continuously risk having stuff stolen from my room but these unknown people. Plus there is the lack of privacy! And, worst of all, NONE OF THEM ARE LIKE THE WORKMEN YOU GET IN PORNO FILMS! It's not on!
  • On my days off I love to have a lay in, sometimes into the early afternoon and my landlord seems to think that he can come in my room at any time. He does knock, but rarely leaves enough time for me to answer before barging in, normally with a workman [always old and ugly] or for some really trivial reason! Good job I haven't had a shag back at the flat since I moved in! [Never thought I'd say that!]
  • I hate the fact that I have to wear shoes to go to the toilet because otherwise I risk getting soaking wet socks (and its not always drips from someone getting out of the shower either!)
  • I have given up storing my food in the kitchen as it gets used and doesn't get replaced, ditto for the toilet paper in the loo! There is nothing worse than going for a "sit down" in the smallest room only to find no toilet paper!
  • At the moment the chef is still living here, this is the one who I believe stole from the landlords safe and tried to put the blame on me (he also happens to be the main culprit for using my food and not replacing it. So I can't leave anything of value in the flat for any length of time. I will have to watch out especially in the week that he moves out!
  • Kevin, the landlord, has decided that his energy bills are too high, so what has he decided to do? Turn the heating off at every opportunity! Normally saying, "Oh! I thought you were working!" I woke this morning and it was freezing in my room! I had put the heating on before going to bed, so he must have turned it off again soon after! Bastard!
  • And the worst thing of all is that I am living with an alcoholic, something I swore I would never do again! I can't stand the fact that he stays in the pub for hours after closing sometime and then I can find him all over the flat in various stages of undress pissed out of his brain. Alot of the time he comes in to chat to me when he is pissed which is the last thing in the world I want [my mum's boyfriend used to do that when I was a kid and I used to have to put up with it to keep him sweet, for my mums sake, so he wouldn't be verbally abusive to her! I hate drunks. Drinking is fine, drunks aren't.

So, PLEASE, if anyone out there knows of a cheapish flat for rent in Zone 1 of London, or at a push a large room to rent with a decent flatmate or two, please let me know. If I am going to move I need to do it this month as next month I probably won't be able to afford it (what with Chrismas et al).

Other than that a good size win on the Lotto would be fantastic, or a great bonus from work (Yeah right! I you know the situation with bonuses at work, you know the likelihood of that happening!)
