I was lovingly woken up this morning, my last day off, by the lilting sound of a circular saw and a pneumatic drill directly outside my bedroom window at 8:15! It went on for over an hour untl they'd dug a lovelly big hole. I managed to get back to sleep again and eventually got up at 10:00 when I was again woken by the painter this time, flitting around the flat (which now has no carpets so you can hear every step and every echo!).
I haven't been able to find another affordable flat yet, but I'm still looking.
On the up side of things: I am getting ready now, slowly, and after Home & Away will be heading into town to meet my mate Tim for a few drinks. I haven't seen him for a couple of weeks, so we have some catching up.
