Still feeling dirty

Nope, still got no hot water. Once again my landlord is hoping that the guy turns up today. It's getting rediculous. On a lighter, and hopefully less smelly, note he has picked a new lodger for the fourth room of the flat. It turns out that the guy, who will be working in the pub as the chef is also gay and used to work at the King's Arms! I'll have to ask Lee if he knows him, once I find out the guys name! Lee used to work there too. So it looks like I won't be "the only gay in the village" for much longer!!

I feel dirty

I have had to endure 5 days now without hot water at home and I am getting really pissed off. I really hope that it is sorted by the time I get home from work today, as I am sick of having cold showers and flannel washes. I just feel dirty all the time. It just isn't on, especially in this heat. (Even when the hot water IS back, I will still have to have the shower crouching down in the bath as the shower doesn't have a fitting on the wall any more, and we have no shower curtain!! Not good!

Teasing

Sometimes you just want to let your imagination run wild, you don't want to see the whole picture in case you ruin the fantasy. But sometimes the tease can just be too much and you want more. It's a fine balance. Here. Make you rown mind up about these....

What a way to go!

Now then! I was debating whether to blog this, but I can't resist. And, being a poof, I'm going to hell anyway so, here goes:
It is very tragic, but imagine explaining to someone how your mother, sister or wife had died, if this had happened to her! Could you say, without laughing:
"She was killed by a bouncy castle!"
I feel for the families of the 2 killed, but I have a view of death that it is something you cannot escape, it happens to everyone, so you may as well laugh at it, because crying does nothing. I will always remember the funeral of one of my best friends, Craig. It has to be the funniest and most memerable funeral that I've been to, and I've been to a few in my time.

Getting back in the swing of it.

I had a surprise phonecall yesterday from my good mate Deano, calling all the way from Melbourne. It was so good to hear from him. As you can imagine we don't talk very often, but exchange emails all the time, though we have both been a bit bad at that recently. It was such a good feeling to catch up with him. But, like Dean said, it's a shame we can't just say "I'll meet you down the pub in an hour!" Still he is hoping tocome over here soon and I'm saving to go over there next year, so that is something to look forward to.

Now, as for the blog, I have been really bad recently and not been blogging and I do feel guilty about that. So I am going to renew my efforts and try and blog regularly again (I'm back to work tomorrow, so I will have plenty of time!! Wierd how I can blog more when I'm working, huh? Don't tell the boss)

I was also bullied by Deano because I've been falling behind on my comic reading. As you may know I've been skint recently with all the moving costs and everything. But now I have most of the comics that I missed, I am finding that I just can't catch up. I don't want to rush through reading them all, because I won't take the stories in fully, so I'm reading a couple every few hours. I'll get there eventually.

My 300th posting!

Doesn't time fly when you're blagging, sorry blogging, it!

High Profile

Well the work I've been doing over the last three night shifts has got the attention of all the big bods here at work, what with me working in the same office area as them for a change. Hopefully I shall be getting some acknowledgement for this work, especially as I am the first of three to do these particular tasks. I just hope it doesn't get forgotten like all the other projects I've worked on in the past. We shall see!!

Keeping busy

Last night flew by, despite being on my own for 90% of the night. I managed to keep myself busy and got quite a lot of personal stuff AND work done, maybe I should work on my own more often?
Am on the same duty tonight (and tomorrow) and it seems to be going just as fast. The only thing missing is some decent totty to oggle at!! I'd settle for oone of my good-looking colleagues to come and chat to me, and tease me, but that's not gonna happen on this shift! Oh well. One more night shift after this and then I have 4 days off, can't wait (though I think my landlord has plans for me to be working on the flat!)

Quick shift

Well, I am nearly at the end of the night shift and it has sped past. This is surprsing as I have had only 4 calls all night, and hardly anyone to talk to, just how I like it sometimes. I can just get on with my own stuff then (like reading my comics and checking out my favourite websites).
One of my bosses will be coming in within the hour, or so he said I'll believe it when I see it, and then I've been told I can go home. Excellent. Two more nights of this and then I have 4 days off.
Have been reading the 6th All-New Handbook from Marvel, with enties on the original Ka-Zar, Kylun,Killpower, Klaatu, Lockdown, Locust and Magdelene (among others) it is great, I love it.

Plans interupted

I went to Forbidden Planet on the way to work today to get the comics I was missing, spending £104 quite easily. I also packed my laptop so I had something to do during the slow period of my night shift.
When I got to work I was told that I would be working on a special project dealing with the Lebanon Crisis and I would be working on my own all night. There are no plug point near the desk I have that I can plug my laptop into and I have 1 senior manager sat nearby at the moment anyway, so I couldn't "skive" if I wanted to!
It is "high profile" work so I shouldn't complain, at least my name will be known by the new managers, whom I have yet to be introduced to!
Oh well, as they say "the best laid plans of mice and men!"

Great night out

I almost forgot to mention my night out last night.
Lee came over to mine and we bussed it into Soho, got something quick to eat and then hit the pubs. We visited the Kings Arms (which I am always disappointed with), then Rupert Street which was too hot to stand inside, and too dull outside (though there was some nice totty walking by).
After that we went to Barcode where Lee got off with some guy, then we went to Comptons where Lee got chatting with one of the barmen, Ben, who is very cute and loved the attention, and he told Lee that the other barman that I fancied fancied Lee too. I was a bit miffed at not getting any attention, but really chuffed for Lee as he was feeling a bit self-conscious at the beginning of the night.
Over-all it was a great night out and we had a chat before getting to sleep when we got back to mine.
Ghost Rider Trailer

Have just found this, thanks to a work colleague. I knew it was coming but didn't realise it would look this good.

Tomorrow never comes

I am on nights tomorrow and so I will be able to go into Orbital Comics and catch up on my missing issues and get up to date with the Civil War. I have missed about 2 weeks worth of comics nad I still have some issues missing from last month too! So it looks like it will be another £100 jobbie!! It's a good job that I have 4 days off coming up, so I can catch up on my reading.
Also, I have the latest Harry Potter book to read and the first three Harry Potter films to watch on DVD, all thanks to Lee who bought them for me for my birthday. So looks like I will be spending quite some time in front of the tv as well a laying on my bed reading my comics. Fantastic!! I guess, as the weather is meant to be good next week, that I will have to venture outside at some point too.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM!!

It is my mate Tim's birthday today and he doesn't look too bad for 43!! I went out for a drink last night with Tim and his other half Richard. I had a really good time, and, as I was working today, I didn't stay out too late. I was a bit knackered this morning but am feeling fine now.
Just for Tim here are some men for him to admire.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIMMY!

I am out again tonight as my mate Lee is coming over and we are going out again into Soho for a few drinks, so I will be even more tired tomorrow at work. I am hoping that the quality totty that was out last night, will be out tonight too.
Then, after Sunday I am on 3 night shifts and then am off for 4 days.

And, as I was discussing Ben Browder with Tim last night, here is a bonus picture.

Work don't 'alf get in the way!!

I know! I know! I missed another day. I can't get in the habit of blogging from home, now that I've moved. I have 6 days at work from tomorrow so I should be more consistent then. I will eventually get another computer desk, but will have to do without it for now.
I just had a two day fire course and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and I got to go into work late and finish early, so I can't complain really.

Anyway, as I missed some days recently I guess I should make up for it, so here are some men for your enjoyment. (OK mine too!)

Redeeming features

Just thought I best clear up one point.
There is one redeeming feature that I can see about the disappointing Spider-Man films.......
James Franco, who plays Harry Osborn.
Horny or what?
Don't know what I mean? Then take a look..

Settling in..... with Spider-Man!

Well, I'm in my new home and it is my first day off since I moved. My new landlord keeps coming into my room and telling me that the flat will be sorted out soon (god, what a mess the flat was to start with), and telling me not to be shy, to go down into the pub and get my dinner there. I am beginning to resent his intrusions, but I guess I have to get used to sharing a flat again, I was living on my own for nearly 8 years!! But, it is great being so close to work, about 15 minutes walk, which means I get an extra hour and a half to myself each work day as I am travelling less.

So, here I am on my first day off and I decided to watch the DVD of Spider-Man 2 that I borrowed from a work colleague. After seeing the first film, and being disappointed with various aspects of it, I had decided not tobother with the sequals. But, after speaking to several friends about it I was pursuaded to give it a go. I must say that I am once again disappointed for pretty much the same reasons:
I do not like Tobey Maguire, he just doen't come across as a hero to me at all. Pretty much the same for Kirsten Dunst too, I have no sympathy for her at all, she was good in Interview With The Vampire, but I just haven't liked, or believed her in anything else since.
I was not impressed with the Green Goblin in the first Spidey film, the costume was all wrong. With the second film, I liked Dr Octopus, but he just wasn't in the film enough.
There was far too much sloppy stuff in the film, as much as I like characterisation, I watch action films for the action!!

Saying all that, I have seen the trailer for the third film and the effects and action look fantastic, with the living black costume and the Sandman too. I would say that I will go to the cinema to see it, but I still haven't even seen X-Men 3, and I really want to see that.

World Cup 2006 (France)

Now, I left Italy and France til last by chance, which is a bit weird. As I'm featuring France last does that that they are going to win the final tonight? We can but wait and see.....

World Cup 2006 (Italy)

Only two teams left, so today Italy are featured. As you can see there are quite a few nice boys here.
