Those We Lost In 2009

Here is too long a list of LGBT people who have died in 2009. I know that we all have to die at some point, so I say too long because of the unacceptably high number of murdered LGBT people this year (and any year). All over the world we, as LGBT people are still being denied equal rights, being attacked verbally and physically and even murdered just for being who we are. Then "normal" folk have a go at us saying: "Why should we have Gay Prides?" and "Why do you moan so much about your rights?"

We will moan about our rights and parade in Prides for as long as it takes for us not to need to moan and parade any more. When we are accepted worldwide as equals in the law and equals in nature, then can we stop our moaning and we can then all parade together to celebrate our uniqueness, and not our worry about our differences.
