Snow! It Gets Old VERY Quickly

I came home from work this morning in the snow again. It had been snowing lightly for a couple of hours, but the pavements around work were just wet, not snowy. But, while I was walking home I discovered that the tiny amount of snow on the pavement was really icy stuff, making it slippery already.
I don't think I can even remember when we, in this country that is obsessed with the weather, have ever had such a long period of time over which it has snowed. Normally it is just a couple of days maximum and then all disappears within a day or two, but it has been snowing on and off, and the snow on the ground, even here in the City, has not completely disappeared since over a week before Christmas.
If only they made snow in a warmer variety, then we might be able to enjoy it a bit more!

I wished I was there to help keep you warm. Even better I wished I could send the guys in blue over to keep you busy so you wonld not think about the cold wet stuff outside.

I'm not a big fan of cold winter weather either. Stay warm Alex. Spring is coming!

Snow is wonderful for the first few hours after it has fallen. Then when the traffic and the slush begins to develop it is not only messy but unsightly. I do miss being in front of a fireplace, with a roaring fire and some sweetie to snuggle up to...that I can't get in South Florida...well maybe the snuggling.
