Strictly About Bloody Time!!!!!!

HOO-BLOODY-RA!!!

I'm going to spoil it for those who don't know already, but I am just so pleased that that lazy bitch Laila is out of Strictly Come Dancing at last. There are so many celebrities who deserved to stay in the competition in her place it is sickening.
I felt that most of tonight's first show was really lacklustre and the whole show was only saved by the very last two dances, performed by Chris & Ola doing the best Samba of the series, and Ricky & Natalie doing a great Cha Cha Cha. Not two of my favourite types of dance, but the most memorable of tonight's by a long shot.
I felt the whole show would have been so much better if Ali and Laila's places had been taken by Zoe and Jade who are better dancers in my opinion.

Once again, and finally the judges AND public have seen it, Laila just couldn't be bothered. Yes, she is pretty. Yes she looks great in some of the dresses she has had. But she isn't that good a dancer and she rarely performs well. Anton is also awful and his place should be at risk in the series. He is terrible at the Latin dances, looking worse than his celebs sometimes, something that just shouldn't happen. He is only saved by the fact that he is amazing at the Ballroom dances, even if it is only in traditional styles, to traditional music.

I didn't really see the point of Darcey Bussell, sorry daaaarrrling, but you seemed more pointless than Alisha at the beginning of the series. Great dress though.

The second of tonight's shows was really all about the Argentine Tango. As Bruce said himself, this dance, performed by Vincent & Flavia, is one of the best parts of the whole series. I love the dance so much and they make it so complicated, fun, sexy, dramatic and interesting, just what you need to get people wanting to join in and have a go themselves. I was dancing around my room after watching this and wishing I was also learning to dance like the celebrities. Such a shame that a non-celebrity version doesn't exist!

Announced at the end of the second show was the fact that Lily Allen will be on next week. I was a bit shocked as I've been celebrating since I found out she was meant to be taking some time off. I guess I will watch the show anyway, despite her being there. I'm working on Saturday, so when I watch it on iPlayer I can also flick through her ditty!

I think Ricky will perform a great Argentine Tango, I'm not sure about the other two.
I hope next year's celebs are more interesting and capable than this year's batch. I've been quite disappointed especially with 2 great dancers (Zoe & Jade) having to leave early.
