A convicted killer has gone missing from an open prison in south Wales in July and the police have only just given out details to the media. Lee Dewhurst, 35, bludgeoned a man to death with a wrench, and stored his body in a roll of carpet for several weeks before the police discovered it. Police initially didn’t think it best to inform the public that he had escaped, but he is thought to be involved in incidents in Halifax and Huddersfield since his escape.He is the sixth inmate to escape from the Usk prison in just over 2 months!
My take: Why was a murderer in an open prison? Why weren’t the gay community notified (as he targets gay victims)? Six escapes in 2 months!! I know it is an open prison but that is ridiculous! Avoid this man and call the police immediately if you do see him. Hopefully WHEN he is caught again he will be locked up in a real prison for good.
