I'm Back

Apologies for missing the last week of birthdays and updates of my life (you haven't missed anything there!!).
The good news is that I have internet access at home once again. After losing it at the beginning of last week for one morning and then regaining it, we lost it again the next day and it only came back yesterday (after a bit of bullying of my landlord to move his arse). I had to wait until today to use it though as I didn't have the password.
Unfortunately it still is not ideal as the router has been moved to the living room and I can only get access to our WIRELESS internet by PLUGGING in to the router! Anyone else see the flaw in this system?
If anyone knows of a solution to this stupidity then I would love to hear it. In the meantime I will wait to ask my flatmate Alex, who is a lot more knowledgable about computer systems if he can help.
