I was actually feeling really chirpy yesterday as I got ready to go to Soho Pride. I sent a text to Tim to say when I was heading into town and only got a reply when I was on my way to say that he wasn't going to go. My mood sunk from this point.
I got into Soho and had a wander around, I first walked through Soho Square and couldn't believe how empty it was. Normally it is impossible to walk around the Square at a normal pace due to the crowds, but I would say there were only about 100-150 people in the whole Square!
I walked along Old Compton Street, through Rupert Street and down to Barcode in Archer Street where I got my first pint (there were 2 other drinkers in there!).
The d.j. at the end of Archer Street seems to be the best stage every Soho Pride and so I stayed around that area for the most part.
I saw the gorgeous guy who used to be a barman in downstairs Barcode and filled out a competition entry he was promoting. If he had been alone I may felt more like chatting him up.
I saw few people I actually knew, most of them just well enough to say "Hello" and that was it.
I had 2 more pints, from Rupert Street, and then decided enough was enough and began walking back towards where I would catch a bus.
At the Duke of Wellington I saw Tim's BBC mate Jim and stopped to chat to him and his mates for a few minutes before heading off home.
I actually walked all the way home and my legs were killing me by the time I got in. I actually had a couple of hours sleep and then watched "Dude, Where's My Car" at 22:00.
The pub alarm went off at just before 02:00 and I had to get up and wake Kevin as he never hears the bloody thing himself. I didn't get to sleep until about an hour later.
