As I said initially, when I started this blog about a week ago,I wanted some structure to the blog, and there are certain different subjects I'm interested in and want to chat about.
Monday, I've decided, is going to be my "Day of Heroes!"
I was looking for a specific person to choose as todays hero, but came upon a site that caught my attention, and my interest, and really got me thinking:
"My Hero" is a site which allows you to write about, draw, or just share your feelings about someone who has inspired you in your life, or who you feel is a real hero in life, whom you may or may not have met. It is for all types of heroes and I urge you to check it out and contribute if you wish to. I will be contributing soon, but have to compose my thoughts before I even try. Think about someone, or a group, who has made a difference to your life or the life of someone you care about, really think about it and then tell everyone how special those people are. Not everyone has someone to look up to, to respect, or to trust. So, be generous and share yours with these people. Just as a smile is infectious, hopefully sharing these heroic actions, of whatever form, hopefully will also be infectious.
I hope that one day we can all celebrate an International Day of Heroes, much like Mother's Day or Father's Day, but on a worldwide scale. This wonderful site could be a good place to begin.
