Covering Tim's Recovery

Yesterday there was a story in the Evening Standard (London) about the pioneering surgery that helped restore the skull of my friend Tim Barter when he fell 3 storeys back in 2009. Tim, as some of you will know, is a good friend of mine. After having a few (too many) drinks for Richard's birthday, Tim went home alone where, thinking he had forgotten his keys, he climbed the drainpipe to the 2nd floor when the pipe gave way and he fell smashing his skull on a metal railing and breaking his leg (among other injuries). Richard and I spent a few hours at the hospital, as Richard was the first person that the police called and he then called me. We honestly thought he was dead, but in a remarkably short space of time, relatively, Tim recovered and was literally rebuilt better than before. I wasn't aware at the time that the procedures were so new and pioneering, but am glad that they worked. Here is a link to the story on huffingtonpost.com which I am including because Tim prefers the "after" picture here than the one used in the paper. It was also covered in the Daily Shame (I mean) Mail, the Metro and apparently on BBC London News on the telly too. And here's a different "after" picture, also a good one, just to keep the patient happy.
