Who's On-Line Now?

Good start to the series

The first episode of this series of Dr Who was a good one, reminding us why David Tennant is so popular as the Doctor, introducing Martha Jones as a really strong and intelligent character (played by Freema Agyeman, and explaining her resemblance to a former Dr Who character in the last season), and retaining the humour typical of "new" Dr Who!

"I've brought my own straw"
Love it! Anne Reid was fantastic as the Plasmavore.

I liked the Judoon and their rhino-faces and their crap, torch-marker pen devices!
More! More! More!

Oh! And don't forget....

Tonight at 19:00 hours on BBC1. Need I say more? It's back!!!

I have to say it...

A BIG happy birthday wish goes out to one of the best (if not THE best) British actor of the moment Ewan McGregor. Ewan is 36 today and has starred in many films, but I am mentioning him mainly for his portrayal of Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars 1-3. Despite the slating this trilogy received from a lot of people, I enjoyed all three films and will continue to enjoy them whenever I watch. Thanks Ewan have a great day.

Not enough Jake

I am getting Jake G withdrawal symptoms, so have to upload some pictures now.....

Gay's The Word

I was initially dismayed to hear that Gay's The Word bookshop is facing closure. I am a bit of a bookworm, when I'm not reading comics and I have purchased many books from this establishment over the years, though, to tell the truth, I haven't been there in quite a few years.
Gay's The Word was one of the first gay establishments that I ever went to. Having placed an add in Record Mirror when I was 18 and desperate to meet another gay person, I had a few replies and met a guy called Steve and his boyfriend and they took me to Gay's The Word, First Out and Comptons. That was one of the best days of my life as it started my long trek out of the closet.
I still have a great affection for all three places, but have not been to First Out for quite a few years either. I still go to Comptons, but it just isn't the same anymore (for a start I never get sexually harrassed by the bar manager in the upstairs flat anymore, which is a shame as Neil is cute!!). I preferred it when it was one floor, with the bar in the middle and sawdust on the floor (well the last part isn't true but it felt like it!).
Gay's The Word was a weekly stop for me when I was first venturing out and I loved going in there and not having to feel embarrassed at the purchases I was making. I still have a lot of the books I bought from there and re-read them on occassions. It was an early sanctuary for me, until I found more places to visit and gained the courage to actually talk to people. I hope that it does not close, but I think in order to do so it must evolve. If any of this is already being done, I apologise, but, as I said, I haven't been there for years. Maybe if they converted some of their space to internet usage, diversified the stock to include music and other paraphernalia? I hope they manage to turn things around, but if not then they maybe should bow out gracefully and live in the hearts of us oldies like many other places of courage and inspiration.
Long live Gay's The Word!
I may just be visiting next week.

Strange Dream

I had another really weird dream today. I was at my aunt and uncles house in Stanford-Le-Hope with a big crowd of people including some from work, family and celebs including David Beckham!! The house had all sorts of hidden rooms and compartments.
I ended up snogging a "straight" work colleague and fumbling with an ex-work colleagues cock!! And I got on well with David Beckham too.
But it was a weird, though fun dream!!

300

I have just seen a clip of the new film "300" on MTV's Never Been Scene and it looks fantastic. Now, I've heard some bad reviews of the film, but on the strength of what I've seen it NEEDS to be seen at the cinema. It is very bloodthirsty but the battle scene is amazing and that is even before you realise that ALL the Spartans have amazing bodies (especially Gerard Butler). I really MUST go and see this film, if I don't see any others this year (which is very likely going on past years experience!!)

Remember those rugby players

I am now at work on my first of 4 night shifts and I have been sent an email from Andy (work colleague and friend of landlord Kevin), with photos from that day when I went for drinks after work and Andy had taken pictures of me looking really drunk (granted I WAS really drunk) but I don't look good in any photo which is taken of me, but drunk I look crap!! Check em out!

And this last picture is Andy's mate who isn't my normal type, but is quite cute and a lovely, though straight, guy. Good laugh though.

Back to work tonight

I am back to work on night shifts tonight and I don't really want to go. I have lost my enthusiasm temporarily for the new business too, I think because I'm not quite sure what we have to do next (and what we can afford to do next). I do know that after being at work I will get more motivated about the business as work always motivates me to get the hell out of there latelly!!
I have the guy from Yellow Pages coming over tomorrow to finalise the details of our adverts, so will have to discuss this with Bob tonight. Then I guess it is website, register the business at Company House and start sending out enquiry letters. Once the business is registered and we have a phone number set up at our new office then I will announce the launch here on this internationally read blog (see side-panel >>>)

Scary stuff

Bob viewed a possible office today in Crawley (not really where I want to be based, but an office is an office). He was impressed, as was his missus Angela. The price is good, the cheapest we've seen too, secure, 24-hour access and close to Three Bridges station which means I do not have to change trains when I travel there. So, I agreed and we are paying a deposit and the first months rent on Friday, moving into it on 10th April (I don't know where Bob pulled that date from, as we are both working but never mind!)
Things are getting really scary now and this will be the first major amount of money we will have spent on the project. I nearly phoned him back to tell him to forget the whole deal, but I need to get out of my current job with everything they are doing at the moment.

I forgot to mention that I have to re-apply for my job. AGAIN. All because of the restructuring and the job will involve covering for when the people are off in position I was turned down for earlier this year. Not good. If I wasn't good enough to do it permanently I do not want to cover when these people can't be bothered to come in for whatever reason. Plus I can only put off sending off for my CCTV licence for so long.

Good night out

I decided after yesterday's disappointment I needed to get out and so met Tim for drinks in Barcode. Surprisingly Richard was out too, very rare for him to be out twice in less than a week!! A good surprise though.
Being a Tuesday it was fairly quiet but I didn't mind, I was out for the company, but it is still nice to have something nice to look at.
When we went to the Duke of Wellington I got a gurgling feeling in my stomach and had to rush to the toilet for a "sit down", and about 15 minutes after I returned I had to go again. After that it seemed to clear up, luckily.
Tim and Richard after our fourth pub and I went back to Barcode which was now fairly busy (mainly because nearly everywhere else had closed!). There were a few nice guys around but nobody sticks out in particular.
Then I go blank! I don't recall coming home, or going to bed. The next thing I remember was waking up at home in bed with a cute, shortish, nicely built, hairy guy next to me. I didn't seem surprised that he was there and we had a bit of morning sex, but I have no idea who he was (though I think I remember seeing him in Barcode). He left at about 10:00 and I still didn't know his name or get his number. Oh well.

Disappointed

Well, both Bob and I are pretty much deflated after todays meeting with Heidi and John. Basically from the start they didn't seem to know why we were there. She has no money to invest at the moment, but did have a lot of advice, which is invaluable. But we were there mainly for investment. Not having that, our plans are pretty much stalled for the time being. So our intention of a July launch is pie-in-the-sky!!

Despite the lack of investment, it was really nice to meet John again (Lee's dad) and to meet Heidi for the first, and I hope not the last, time.

I need a drink tonight I think.

Beautiful Birthday Men

Today is the 36th birthday of two very sexy guys.

Firstly we have the Canadian actor from the Firefly series and Serenity film, Nathan Fillion. He is a very sexy man, especially in his Serenity space cowboy type gear!!
Next we have German porn actor Thom Barron, who has certain assets which make him very appealing too!!

Scared

I have a meeting this afternoon with a possible investor in the new business. It should help that it is Lee's step-mom and boss, Heidi, but it doesn't. If anything there is more pressure because of this, I don't want to let him down and I want her to like me and respect me as I will probably be meeting her again at some point. At least I have Bob there for support too (I can blame him if it goes wrong!!!)
Wish me luck.

Beautiful Birthday Boy

Today is the 30th birthday of a Canadian wrestler and model Sylvain Grenier. Sylvain is gorgeous with a fantastic bod, so check him out, just don't touch!! He's mine!!

Open for debate

One of the blogs I like to check almost every day is Aussielicious. I have a great attraction to all things Australian, and Brenton writes a great blog and has some fantastic pictures. I recently read an article in which he "interviewed" a straight reader of his "gay" blog. I thought this was great, showing that "the line" can be crossed. Unfortunately, some other readers thought that this was an oportunity to "out" said straight guy in the comments that they made. Brenton was disappointed with this response (as was I when I read them) as it seems like another excuse for gay men to keep themselves as outsiders while pretending to fight for equality. Check out the original article, and the response and see what you think. Do not forget to check the comments section!!

Now I realise that my comments here can come across as a little hypocritical, considering the comments I made about women in gay bars the other day.
I HATE hen parties, especially when they think it is fine to waltz into a gay bar / club and gawk at the gay men. I feel that this is the equivalent of straight guys gawking at a group of women who are totally not interested.
I have chatted to some women in groups like these and you get the obvious questions, like "Are you sure your gay?", "How do you know if you haven't tried it?" etc., etc. Then again, I hate loud groups of girls anyway, they are so rude and annoying, the same goes for loud queens, totally annoying and unnecessary!!

Getting back to the issue at hand, straight guys, and how straight are they. In my opinion sexuality can be seen as a full spectrum of attraction. From 100% gay, to 50/50 bi, to 100% straight. I class myself as 100% gay (I have never been further than kissing with a girl, I have never had a girlfriend and I have never wanted to "experiment" by having sex with girls). I've known forever, at least since I was 7 when I had a crush on our window-cleaner!
I work in an industry where you would expect homophobia to be rife, security. But I have found that once someone has got past the initial "Oh my god, he's gay!" thing, that the majority are fine with it. Many ask questions, which is fine as they are trying to understand something which they possibly haven't thought about much before. I had more hassle from co-workers when I worked as a shop assistant!!
I get the odd comment calling me a "poof", "batty boy", or "faggot", but these are all made in jest and respond in kind with comments like "breeder" etc. The more these words are used in general conversation, the less power they have to hurt. At least that is what I think.

I have been told, on more than one occasion, by straight co-workers, that I have changed the way that they feel about gay guys. People seem to like the fact that I am open and honest and can take a joke about my sexuality without making it an issue.
I can think of 1 guy specifically who, apparently, was very homophobic before he met me. We were both employed as sales asssistant by BHS when it opened in Torquay. 6 weeks of training in a small group of 8 people made us all bond quite closely, especially as we had an hours trip in a mini-bus every day for 2 weeks to and from another store for training. I was told later, as I hadn't noticed it at the time, but this guy would never accept sweets from me if I offered them around in the bus, though he would from others. But, after working alongside me, (in adjacent departments), he alterred his opinion and he now doesn't "hate all poofs!" All he had seen previously had been stereotypes, but now he had actually met and got to know someone who happened to be gay. Thus, he was allowed to form his own opinion.

I like to think that, if I do nothing else remarkable in this world, that I at least made some people change their opinion and helped make them more tolerant.

Men Men Men

I just can't stop thinking about them!!

Birthday Boy

Today is the 31st birthday of a Ukrainian boxer (who I had never heard of before today), named Wladimir Klitschko. He is a good-looking man, which is quite unusual for a boxer. Check him out.

Crap night out

I went out for drinks last night as I was still feeling horny. I went to Rupert Street first and there were a few nice guys in there. Noticably there was a young couple, both good looking and athletic. They were too young for my tastes, but I thought it was nice to see a good-looking young couple still holding hands in a gay bar.
Also a guy came in with a woman, possibly his girlfriend. He was stunningly handsome and about 6' 3", with broad shoulders and a big chest. He looked like a fitness model or an actor or something. He appeared straight, but who knows.

One thing that really pissed me off, and I am probably in the minority in this, but I hate the amount of women who go to gay bars. I can tollerate women who go there with gay friends, though I am still not a fan of this. But there was a hen party in Rupert Street and I just thought, we are not a fucking freak show for you to gawk at!! Fuck off!! It annoys me so much.

I then went to Barcode at about 22:00 and stayed there until nearly closing time. It was pretty quiet for a Saturday night, and there was not a lot to look at. I didn't speak to a single person all night, except the barmen.
Pretty depressing really, MacDonalds on the way home and straight to bed still feeling horny!

Birthday boyz

Today marks the birthday of Darren Lockyer a sexy Australian rugby league player. He is a mere 30 years old today.
Also we have Peyton Manning and American Football star who is 31. He's quite cute too.

Drinks

I met Tim and Richard for drinks last night and we had a great night. Tim's mate Graham was also out and he kindly offered to check out my business plan before my meeting on Tuesday with Heidi.
Tim was in a good mood as his boss had been full of praise for him when they went to the Dr Who wrap party last week. Plus Tim had got a kiss from the Doctor's new assistant, Freema Agyeman. His careers seems to be going great guns and I am pleased for him.
I saw a nice, tall, muscular guy in Barcode and we kept smiling at each other. When I noticed that he was about to leave I decided to bite the bullet and introduce myself. He seemed like a lovely guy and said he thought I was sexy and then introduced me to his boyfriend!! Typical.
There were also a couple of muscular guys snogging in the corner, which got me feeling really horny!
After Barcode, Comptons and the Yard, we went to Mr Wu's for somthing to eat and then Tim and Richard went home. I went to back to Barcode as usual and talked to absolutely nobody. So, when it closed, and still feeling horny I went on to Chariots. I got home at 04:30!!
It was a great night though.

New phone

I managed to get a new phone today to replace my old one, but I'm not sure that I like it. It took me a half hour to figure out how to make a call!! And not all of my numbers have transferred from the old phone. Oh well! I guess I'll get used to it!

I am off out for drinks with Tim tonight, to find out all about the Dr Who wrap party he went to last Friday.

Have also made an appointment to see Lee's boss / step-mom, Heidi, regarding funding for the business. Bob and I are going to see her on Tuesday, scary stuff!

We have heating again

When I returned home yesterday I discovered that we have heating again, so the flat was toasty warm. Also Kevin has noticed the scratch marks on my bedroom door where the noisy mouse has been trying to get in, so he is going to something about that too! About bloody time. And, thanks to me we have toilet roll again, we ran out at the weekend and no one else wanted to buy any, the cheap skates!

Prison Break

Good episode of Prison Break last night, with a few twists and turns, oh and Amaury Noscalo topless (nice!!). The FBI guy who is gonna try to kill Linc (Dominic Purcell) was quite nice too.

Shame the flat was so cold, we don't have any heating again, so I sat watching the program (and the Chelsea match beforehand) wrapped in my duvet! This morning I had a shower and the water was barely warm enough too. I'm glad I was the first to shower!

Revenge is sweet

I heard this afternoon that the bitch at work who has connived behind everybodies backs to get where she is, has been told there is no position for her at work!!
Ha Ha!
I also heard recently that she has had one of my work mates move in with her. He was her boyfriends mate and former work colleague! I feel sorry for him because he is actually a good guy, he deserves better than her!
I don't normally like seeing people lose their jobs, but the bitch deserves it!

Donnie Darko, WTF?

Have just watched the second of my Jake Gyllenhaal DVD's, Donnie Darko. All I can really say about it is .....
What the Fuck?

It is such a weird film, I am gonna have to watch it tons more times before I even begin to understand what the hell it was all about. I'll discuss it with Mike at work as he said he liked it, maybe he can explain.

Pissed again

I worked out that on Friday, altogether I had about 11 pints of cider! that has to be a record for me and I can't believe I went out last night as well!! Mike will be proud.
I slept most of yesterday, strangely enough considering the amount of fermented apples in my system!! And I woke at about 18:00 and decided that I would meet Lee in town as he had mentioned the preious night.
I got into town at about 20:30 and met Lee and his mate Johnny in Comptons. Johnny was a potential boyfriend of Lee's, but Lee decided that he just wanted to be mates. Typical Lee, he actually goes out with camp tossers and lets the good ones get away. Johnny is a really nice guy, really grounded, very normal and a good laugh. Lee could do so, and has done, so much worse than him as a boyfriend.
We had a good laugh, visiting the Yard and Rupert Street too. Lee was VERY merry!! I decided to give them some time alone and then went to Barcode for a few more. It was dire in there last night. I was hoping to see the South American hunk from the previous night, but no sign. There were very few guys I even remotely fancied and the barman wasn't his usual happy self either, though the other, new one was very friendly.
After Barcode I went to Chariots and got home about 04:00. It was a good night though.
Oh, and Lee told me that his step-mom, and boss, Heidi has said that she will provisionally fund our business. Fantastic eh!!

Brokeback Mountain

I forgot to blog the other day to tell you I watched Brokeback Mountain. Now, I'm not going to give anything away (at least I'll try not to!). But I have to say that it is one of the saddest and most depressing films I have ever seen, yet it is still compelling viewing.
My only criticism would be that I couldn't understand what was being said through a lot of the film as the accents were thick and there was a lot of mumbling especially from Heath, though that added to his character, who didn't actuially like talking much anyway.
If you haven't seen it, then I urge you to watch it as soon as possible (though not if you are already feeling down!!).
It is so well acted by everyone, it isn't graphic when it comes to the sex, and it will make you think how lucky the gay community in the "civilised" world is these days, how far we have come. Though, I realise, we still have a very long way to go until "the gay thing" isn't an issue with the majority of people.
This film should be shown in schools (with the limited sex scenes taken out obviously) as an educational process for the kids (and teachers?). I can't express enough how important this film is, and how brave young actors like Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger were to make it.
Since this film Jake has been inundated with press questions concerning his sexuality and has handled it well. As I've mentioned before, I am in lust with Jake at the moment but I hope whether he is gay or straight, that he stays true to himself and doesn't feel he has to lie about anything. He's done well so far. I hope he continues the good work and I can easily see him being the Tom Cruise for the next generation (without the craziness and scientology bollocks!).

Great day altogether

I had a very productive day yesterday. I went to Crawley to meet up with my business partner Bob as we had a meeting with the small business adviser at RBS. The meeting went quite well but she didn't really ask us many questions. Then we had a viewing of a potential office and, although the presentation that the woman Athenee made was brilliant, the offices were tiny and very clinical and unfriendly. So we both decided immediately that they were a no-go. But it was a decision and something that had to be done.
We had about 3 pints and dinner, during which I met Angela, Bob's wife for only the second time. It was encouraging to see how interested and supportive of the whole plan she is too. She is a good driving force for Bob.

I was very tired when I got home and stripped off my suit and fell on my bed to sleep (I really shouldn't drink in the afternoon!). I was woken about an hour later by Lee bursting in my room to check on me as I hadn't heard my phone ringing! I was still tired and not 100% sure I still wanted to go out drinking as we had arranged. But I pulled myself together and we had a drink in the pub downstairs before heading into Soho!

We began in Barcode where we saw Paul, a mate who I haven't seen for months. Lee offered him a job, so it was productive for all. Then we went to Comptons for one and then Rupert Street for about 3. There were so many gorgeous guys in there, including my favourite barman Vlad. It was packed solid.
After this we went back to Barcode and stayed downstairs for the whole time. My other fave barman was on down there and he had smiles on his face all night. Good to see. I got several kisses off a musclular latino guy who told me he liked "tall skinny white guys", I've not been called skinny for a while. There were lots of other gorgeous guys here too! So we had a good time. Lee disappeared into the toilets for a bit of fun a few times, which does piss me off a bit, but overall it was enjoyable for all. At least until Lee realised that he had had £100 "stolen". He may have just lost it, but he was fuming. I calmed him down and then decided we best leave.

Happy St Patrick's Day

I hope everyone has a great St Patrick's day today. Even though I went out last night, I intend to go out again to celebrate (ok, I just want a bit of hunky Irish cock!).

I have been searching for sexy Irish men to post pictures of, it isn't as easy as it should be! I couldn't, off the top of my head, think of any Irish men that I fancied (sorry Ireland, feel free to send me your hunks to sample!). The I found some....

Colin Farrell is probably the best known Irish actor at the moment and, when he cleans himself up, he is a very beautiful man (and has a great cock - search for that yourself, its not difficult to find at all!). Also we have a few faces from the Irish rugby squad (very topical with the World Cup on at the moment and Ireland are even playing in the background as I type!!).

With players such as Andrew Trimble,
Luke Fitzgerald,
Peter Stringer,
Robert Kearney,
and Ronan O'Gara

Up the Irish!!!!!
