Sorry guys, I forgot to update you yesterday, but I had other things on my mind.
I began to get nervous about an hour before I set off. I got to the building about 20 minutes early, which turned out to be okay and we started the interview early.
I was asked a few questions: i.e. the usual "Give and example of when....." questions.
Then I was had to read 6 different paragraphs and say if 4 statements for each paragraph were true, false or that there wasn't enough information.
Then I had to go through 39 pairs of words to say if they were synonyms or antonyms for each other.
Finally I had a geography test, which I messed up. There was a map of Europe with 16 countries highlighted and I had to say what each country was and name its capital city. I was so embarrassed to only get 14 points on that one.
Altogether I think I did okay, but we will see. I should find out by next Monday, at the latest, if I get a second interview or not.
I had received a call while I was in my interview, luckily I turned the ringer off. When I got out I found out it was from my sister Lynn. I phoned her back and knew instantly that something was up. I told her about the interview and then asked her what was wrong. She had just found out that my uncle has a brain tumor, which is twice as upsetting as normal because that is what my dad died of when I was a kid. We had a bit of a chat, both getting a bit upset (which was a bit embarrassing as I was still in Canary Wharf, having just left the interview). He is having an operation on Tuesday and so we will find out then if it is benign or malignant.
So, all in all, a lot on my mind at the moment.
